Educating Illegal Immigrants at Taxpayers Expense!

Is it good for our nation to fund educating illegal immigrants?
The answer is an easy one. No!
According to the Associated Press local governments cannot keep up with the influx of illegals crossing the borders- not for work but, for school!

Thousands of Mexican children are flocking across the U.S. border to attend school, sparking a debate in towns along the border over whether U.S. taxpayers should have to bear the costs of educating them. The border crossing is so common in El Paso that officials opened a special lane just for students this month.

The Houston Chronicle reported Sunday that more than 1,200 people passed through that lane from Mexico on a recent morning. Some were college or private school students, but many were coming to attend public schools. The influx has prompted complaints from those opposed to spending U.S. tax dollars to teach students from Mexico.

The issue is especially timely in El Paso, where the school district -- which expects to take in 10,000 new students in the next five to eight years -- is preparing for a $230 million bond election for new schools next month.

Elaine Hampton, a professor at the University of Texas-El Paso, says the strained state of public education in Mexico pushes many students across the Rio Grande, just as the hope of better jobs entices their parents.

The growth of Mexican border towns like Ciudad Juarez far outpaces the government's ability to build schools, Hampton said, forcing many to turn away students. Mexican schools also can be too expensive for some parents, charging fees for books, photocopies and sometimes even the cost of administering a test.

Although many school officials are unhappy about the situation, they say there are few ways to control the number of Mexican residents attending their schools. As long as a parent or guardian has proof of residency in that school district -- such as a water bill or lease -- their child can attend. Many of the students were born in U.S. hospitals, making them U.S. citizens who live in Mexico. Others use the addresses of American friends or relatives.

Community pressure has pushed other districts to crack down on those who violate residency requirements. Susan Carlson, a spokeswoman for the United ISD in Laredo, said her district's schools are extra vigilant with residency checks and recently began fining students found breaking residency rules.

Luis Villalobos, a spokesman for the El Paso Independent School District, said the district has seven officers checking out potentially false addresses.

What does this do to our economy? And why doesn't our government do still continue to do nothing about this immigration mess! Enough is enough! As I have said before the Bush Administration needs to pressure Mexico to fix its own problems. but, I doubt that seriously!

Meanwhile Mexican magnate Carlos "Slim" Helu passed Warren Buffet as the second richest man in the world. Just ask Slim what he thinks about philantropy?:

He has derided Gates and Buffett for giving away so much of their wealth,
reportedly saying: "Poverty isn't solved with donations," according to Forbes.

Wonderful Slim, I'm impressed with your philosophy! If only LIBERAL America could adopt this mantra and maybe we would be our taxpayers would be a little bit less stressed!

Ask me if I give a damn!

The drugs used to execute prisoners in the United States sometimes fail to work as planned, causing slow and painful deaths that probably violate constitutional bans on cruel and unusual punishment, a new medical review of dozens of executions concludes.

The fact that we even CARE what kind of punishment these bastards about to die feel is frankly RETARDED!

Another step in the want for liberals to remove the death penalty.
BUT an innocent Child at 5 months in the womb is OKAY to kill. Hell to some liberals. UP TO 8 MONTHS or MORE is ok. Its still part of the womans body!

SHEESH!

Message for Reid from US MARINE.

WASHINGTON - A tough U.S. Marine stationed in one of the most hostile areas of Iraq has a message for Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid: "We need to stay here and help rebuild."

In raw and emotional language from the bloody front lines, Cpl. Tyler Rock, of the 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, skewered Reid for being far removed from the patriotism and progress in Iraq.

"Yeah, and I got a quote for that [expletive] Harry Reid. These families need us here," Rock vented in an e-mail to Pat Dollard, a Hollywood agent-turned-war reporter who posted the comment on his Web site, www.patdollard.com.

"Obviously [Reid] has never been in Iraq. Or at least the area worth seeing . . . the parts where insurgency is rampant and the buildings are blown to pieces," Rock wrote.

This all coming from Reids last week saying "THE WAR IS LOST WE NEED TO PULL OUT", from which he has back tracked QUICKLY after saying so.

Goes back to what many have said. The left in this country and DEMOCRATS in general are Invested FULLY in the loss of this war. They cannot back down from that position.

He also spoke admiringly of the risks brave Iraqi citizens take every day.

"If Iraq didn't want us here then why do we have [Iraqi police] volunteering every day to rebuild their cities?" he asked.

"It sucks that Iraqis have more patriotism for a country that has turned to complete s- - - more than the people in America who drink Starbucks every day.

"We could leave this place and say we are sorry to the terrorists. And then we could wait for 3,000 more American civilians to die before we say, 'Hey, that's not nice' again."

"And the sad thing is after we WIN this war. People like [Reid] will say he was there for us the whole time."

I have said this before.
We as Americans want things done, QUICKLY, in an INSTANT, like a POP TART. And helping a nation get back on its feet from people who's sole desire is to destroy the nation is not a simple task.

IF we leave this nation we will have some very dire consequences from it.

Gun Control laws...

Its been a little while since a post.
Been busy.

I wont however be posting anything on the Virginia Tech Massacre.
I believe it has gotten enough coverage from the News Media and from other bloggers. There really is little to add to to it.
All I can do is say May all those that were killed by this bastard Rest in Peace and my prayers go out the families and friends of this tragedy.

What it will bring and I will probably comment on as well as the other posters is on the new wave of calls for tighter gun control laws from this Massacre.

There was already within hours of the Tragedy people already covering how simple it was for him to get a gun. I will point in another direction.

I will call for MORE gun control.

Yes you read that correct. MORE GUN CONTROL.
HOWEVER, this Gun Control needs to be reasonable.
Not just the natural knee jerk reaction that is seen when things of this nature happen. Sensible gun control will be my outline.

1. Have a national registry that not only has criminal records but ALSO mental and medical records. The Real ID ACT MIGHT be the solution here. Picture every database accessible from one location. It DOES NOT necessarily for a gun purchase have to show the details of the persons health records OR criminal records but just simply say. DENIED in red so its not missed.

BLACKSBURG, Virginia (CNN) -- When a judge deemed Virginia Tech shooter Seung-Hui Cho a danger to himself due to mental illness in 2005, that ruling should have disqualified him from buying a handgun under federal law.

It didn't.

And his slaughter of 32 people last week has raised questions about the efficacy of instant background checks for firearms purchases by the mentally ill.

Under federal law, anyone who has been judged to be a danger to himself or others because of mental illness, as Cho was, should be prohibited from buying a gun. (Watch campus shooting rekindle debate on gun control Video)

His status should have been noted in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, a database of people disqualified from gun purchases.

But, in Cho's case, his mental status never went in the system.

There is supposedly already a system in place but making a database include all like in the REAL ID ACT may be a simpler method then someone entering the same information 5 times.

2. Close the loophole of being able to buy guns at Gun shows outside of the scope of background checks. This is a must. I am sorry if you are a collector of weapons or a person interested in protection for a weapon then you should have NO PROBLEM with having a waiting period to get your gun.

Yes there will be rare cases were say a single mom has a restraining order on an ex lover and he has threatened to kill her. But again these are rare cases. And laws aren't written based on rare occurrences.

3. Only US citizens should be able to purchase guns. Yeap I went there too. Yes he was a legal US resident, but US citizens should be the only ones allowed to purchase weapons. That is my opinion.

4. There should be a 3 day wait period before you walk out with a gun. Just like they have here in Florida. Nothing wrong with that from what I can tell.

5. Institute similar "right to retreat laws" like we have here in Florida. It makes perfect sense.

Case in point:

Catarino Piedra, 41, kept a gun underneath the counter at the Coliseum Pizza and Taqueria that he owned in East Oakland because his drivers had been robbed many times while making deliveries.

Allen Joseph Hicks III, 22, was an accused batterer on probation for a drug conviction and an aspiring rap artist whom everybody in his neighborhood knew as "Boonie."

The lives of the two men intersected tragically at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday when Hicks, armed with a pistol and joined by two other men, tried to rob Piedra inside the popular pizzeria at 89th Avenue and International Boulevard. Fearful that the assailants might hurt him, his wife and three children -- all of whom were inside the restaurant -- Piedra pulled out his 9mm semiautomatic pistol and opened fire, killing Hicks, police said.

This man was protecting himself and his family.
The Cops however saw this differently.

Piedra said he was afraid that the assailants would shoot him or hurt his family, a contention supported by Oakland police who nevertheless cautioned against citizens taking direct action against criminals.

"There is definitely a balance," said Officer Roland Holmgren, department spokesman. "This thing had potential -- who knows where the suspects were going to take the situation? But by no stretch of the imagination are we agreeing with or justifying what the owner did."

Holmgren said, "We're not saying that we want citizens to go out there and arm themselves and take the law into their own hands. We want citizens to be good witnesses, to be good report-takers and to identify suspects."

How good of a witness would this man have been if the robber would have pulled the trigger first? Not much help at that point huh? And then if he would have turned to shoot the family as well.

I will concede that putting MORE restrictions on guns fails to get the guns OUT of the hands of criminals or WOULD BE criminals. LA, NY, DC, Philly and others are all examples of that. HOWEVER, is it too much to ask for these simple regulations added into existing laws.

Something SENSIBLE needs to be done here. Something that DOES NOT violate our Constitution but makes us at least a LITTLE safer. Banning ALL GUNS is not the solution. Just ask Australia. But a LITTLE bit of control can go a long way.

Where was the media Coverage on this?

White people need to be exterminated:

That according to Kamau Kambon on C-SPAN of all places?
Where was the news coverage on this?

Watch the video!

Where was Sharpton And Jesse here?
Listen to the clapping in the back ground?
The sad thing is he was a college professor! WOW!

Hell lets go to the NEW BLACK PANTHER LEADERSHIP and see what he has to say:

Wow... Looks like the Black Panthers haven't changed much?
Just given themselves the name "NEW" as though there is anything different now?

Virginia Tech

My deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the students murdered and injured in yesterdays attacks. No words can ever heal the hearts or sorrow they must feel for their lost ones.

My thoughts on this tragic event is; what if one person that had a concealed weapons permit was there? He could of possibly twarted this madman before he was able to murder and injure dozens of students.
How come nobody fought back? In this post 9-11 era, I would think the "Lets Roll" mantra would have took action!
One hero actually gave up his own life. Please read about Holocaust survivor Professor Liviu Librescu. RIP

Anti-gun fear mongering lobbyists are again trying to use this to make it harder for citizens to purchase guns for the protection. Read this.

University had eerily similar shooting on its campus in 1991. Except the shooter was from the Peoples Republic of China.

Now, copy-cats are looking to capitalize on some universities' ban on self-defense by posting threats on 3 separate universities and schools.

All else I have to say is, people need to learn how to FIGHT BACK!!!

Mojito anyone?

If this doesn't outrage you over our government school system, then I don't know what in the hell would!

HS SPURS FUROR WITH CUBA TRIP
Manhattan public high-school students and a history teacher with
a soft spot for Cuba flouted federal travel restrictions by taking a
spring-break field trip to the communist nation - and now face up to $65,000
apiece in fines, The Post has learned.
The lesson in socializing and
socialism was given to about a dozen students from the selective Beacon School
on the Upper West Side, which for years has organized extravagant overseas trips
with complementary semester-long classes.
Some past destinations include
France, Spain, South Africa, Venezuela, Mexico and, according to the school Web
site, Cuba in 2004 and 2005.
The principal, Ruth Lacey, insisted she did not
approve the April 1-10 jaunt, in which students and teachers said the group was
briefly detained on their return by American customs officials in The Bahamas
and now faces fines.

Is Imus really the problem?

I have been trying to avoid giving any coverage on this.
Its been talked about like crazy all through the blogoshpere and talked about on TV and radio even today!

But I think I just need to voice my position on this.
I'll go with Whoopie on this one.
Should he be fired? Naaa. He did nothing illegal.
What he did do was stupid and morally reprehensible but not illegal. Lets face it. He is a shock jock. Its what his job is. To say stupid shit!

Is a complete moron. Sure.
What he said was I guess supposed to be a joke I guess.
But that doesn't excuse his stupid comment.

But the reality is that this is a problem within the Minority community that needs to be corrected. Something that we do to ourselves on a daily basis. The one thing that may actually be a good thing from this is that people get it and change things within the HOOD. Its a crazy wish but maybe it is something that can happen.

His firing was/is dangerous. Its a step in the direction of censorship and a step in the direction of Facism that liberals constantly scream about. It brings in the thought police into this situation and into many other arenas that are dangerous in this nation.

Here is a man that analyzes this situation PERFECTLY!

But to make it fair. Here is Al (pimp my race card) Sharpton with Jason Whitlock

Notice how Sharpton gets MOST of the air time while Jasons segment is not only cut off but trivialized by Soledad O'Brien.

Jason highlights the true point of this whole argument.
IMUS IS NOT THE PROBLEM:

Instead of wasting time on irrelevant shock jock, black leaders need to be fighting a growing gangster culture.

Thank you, Don Imus. You’ve given us (black people) an excuse to avoid our real problem.

You’ve given Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson another opportunity to pretend that the old fight, which is now the safe and lucrative fight, is still the most important fight in our push for true economic and social equality.

You’ve given Vivian Stringer and Rutgers the chance to hold a nationally televised recruiting celebration expertly disguised as a news conference to respond to your poor attempt at humor.

Thank you, Don Imus. You extended Black History Month to April, and we can once again wallow in victimhood, protest like it’s 1965 and delude ourselves into believing that fixing your hatred is more necessary than eradicating our self-hatred.

The bigots win again.

While we’re fixated on a bad joke cracked by an irrelevant, bad shock jock, I’m sure at least one of the marvelous young women on the Rutgers basketball team is somewhere snapping her fingers to the beat of 50 Cent’s or Snoop Dogg’s or Young Jeezy’s latest ode glorifying nappy-headed pimps and hos.

I ain’t saying Jesse, Al and Vivian are gold-diggas, but they don’t have the heart to mount a legitimate campaign against the real black-folk killas.

It is us. At this time, we are our own worst enemies. We have allowed our youths to buy into a culture (hip hop) that has been perverted, corrupted and overtaken by prison culture. The music, attitude and behavior expressed in this culture is anti-black, anti-education, demeaning, self-destructive, pro-drug dealing and violent.

Rather than confront this heinous enemy from within, we sit back and wait for someone like Imus to have a slip of the tongue and make the mistake of repeating the things we say about ourselves.

To take it one step further lets look at Jonetta Rose Barras take on this situation as well:

We're Our Own Worst Imuses

They wanted to slay Don Imus and they did. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, the NAACP, the National Association of Black Journalists and their posse knocked the shock jock off his throne at CBS Radio and MSNBC. But behind the scenes in the black community where I live and work, the outcry all along has been for something else.

Rather than blast the talk-show host for his derogatory description of the Rutgers University women's basketball team, many African Americans I spoke to in my work as a radio commentator said all along that black folks, including and perhaps chiefly those who led the charge against Imus, should take a long look in the mirror.

I think they're right.

The sensational indignation that got Imus fired last week struck many of us as hypocritical. It cast African Americans principally as the victims of discrimination -- and ignored the fact that they are the chief purveyors of the demeaning language being decried. It ignored the realities of how culture gets transmitted in contemporary society and the prominent role that African Americans play in that transfer. It failed to recognize the market forces at play. And it held blacks unaccountable for any of the damage, saddling whites with all the blame.

Urban American pop culture is fast becoming a black -- and sometimes Hispanic -- thing, and a bunch of people are getting filthy rich from it. The dirty little secret here is that the fight over Imus may not have been so much about his terminal foot-in-mouth disease as about who has dominion over that culture and who collects the cash.

Consider that last year's Academy Award for Best Original Song went to "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" from the movie "Hustle and Flow." That Howard University gave rapper P. Diddy the same postgraduate achievement award that it once bestowed upon famed African American author Zora Neale Hurston. Or that in 2001 the NAACP gave its prestigious Image Award to R. Kelly, a black singer accused of having sex with underage girls. (YOU CAN'T BLAME THE WHITE MAN FOR THESE THINGS!!)

Lets skip the BS and look for the root cause of this problem.
The root cause is NOT from white America. The root cause is within our own communities or rather HOODS! Is it too much to ask for our hoods to be looked at as NEIGHBORHOODS! Is that too far of a stretch.

Its thinks like this that make me look at Cosby's Speech:

Ladies and gentlemen, the lower economic and lower middle economic people are [not*] holding their end in this deal. In the neighborhood that most of us grew up in, parenting is not going on. In the old days, you couldn’t hooky school because every drawn shade was an eye. And before your mother got off the bus and to the house, she knew exactly where you had gone, who had gone into the house, and where you got on whatever you had one and where you got it from. Parents don’t know that today.

I’m talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit. Where were you when he was two? Where were you when he was twelve? Where were you when he was eighteen, and how come you don’t know he had a pistol? And where is his father, and why don’t you know where he is? And why doesn’t the father show up to talk to this boy?

The church is only open on Sunday. And you can’t keep asking Jesus to ask doing things for you. You can’t keep asking that God will find a way. God is tired of you. God was there when they won all those cases. 50 in a row. That’s where God was because these people were doing something. And God said, “I’m going to find a way.” I wasn’t there when God said it… I’m making this up. But it sounds like what God would do.

We cannot blame white people. White people .. white people don’t live over there. They close up the shop early. The Korean ones still don’t know us as well…they stay open 24 hours.

I’m looking and I see a man named Kenneth Clark. He and his wife Mamie…Kenneth’s still alive. I have to apologize to him for these people because Kenneth said it straight. He said you have to strengthen yourselves…and we’ve got to have that black doll. And everybody said it. Julian Bond said it. Dick Gregory said it. All these lawyers said it. And you wouldn’t know that anybody had done a damned thing.

50 percent drop out rate, I’m telling you, and people in jail, and women having children by five, six different men. Under what excuse

I had this argument before with someone on a google forum back when Cosby said this. And her argument wasn't WHAT he said but how he said it. WHO GIVES A FUCK how it was said. The reality is what he said NEEDED to be said. Sadly though other than Cosby's own personal mission little is being done about these problems in our communities. HOPEFULLY this IMUS thing is the swift kick in the ass that is needed for people to drop the BS and start to fix the problems. And the solution is within. Because the white man doesn't give a damn!

Another Failed Government Policy at Taxpayer Expense!!!

If there is onething I hate; it is the income tax!
If there is one more thing I REALLY hate; it is government waste of taxpayer money!!!!!

Here is another example of how government wastes OUR hard earned money to fund assinine pet projects!

Study: Abstinence classes don't stop sex

Students who took part in sexual abstinence programs were just as likely to have sex as those who did not, according to a study ordered by Congress.

Also, those who attended one of the four abstinence classes that were reviewed reported having similar numbers of sexual partners as those who did not attend the classes. And they first had sex at about the same age as other students — 14.9 years, according to Mathematica Policy Research Inc.

The federal government now spends about $176 million annually on abstinence-until-marriage education. Critics have repeatedly said they don't believe the programs are working, and the study will give
them reinforcement

However, Bush administration officials cautioned against drawing sweeping conclusions from the study. They said the four programs reviewed — among several hundred across the nation — were some of the very first established after Congress overhauled the nation's welfare laws in 1996.

Officials said one lesson they learned from the study is that the abstinence message should be reinforced in subsequent years to truly affect behavior.

"This report confirms that these interventions are not like vaccines. You can't expect one dose in middle school, or a small dose, to be protective all throughout the youth's high school career," said Harry Wilson, the commissioner of the Family and Youth Services Bureau at the Administration for Children and Families.

HUH???
You want to spend more of MY money to fund something that dosen't work!?!
WTF is that?!?
I am all for teaching kids about what a mess having sex at an early age
can be but, to only teach them abstinence is retarded.
We don't need MORE GOVERNMENT IN OUR LIVES!!
Kids are going to have SEX!!!
We were created by God to HAVE SEX!!!
If God only wanted us to have sex when we married then he would gave us detachable genitals to be purchased with proof of marriage certificate!!!
uh oh... I can hear the religious wackos not liking that comment! lol

Driverless Car?

A car driven by a hi-tech ghost of laser sensors and computers went on exhibit in London Wednesday, before it competes against other robot cars in the United States in November.

The Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI drives using two eye-like laser sensors in the front and one in the back that scan road conditions, buildings, other vehicles and pedestrians over a range of up to 200 metres (650 feet).

An on-board computer digests and acts on the information using software developed by the Hamburg, Germany-based Ibeo Automobile Sensor company, said company experts displaying the car at the Science Museum in London.

In November, the car will compete against other driverless vehicles in the third annual US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Urban Challenge over a 60-mile course in America.

"We are competing against the world's best in terms of automobile technology," Ibeo chief executive Ulrich Lages said.

"Although we are a relatively small team and, unlike the big players, do not have a large budget, we believe we have a great chance at DARPA 2007," he said.

"Our innovative laser technology gives us a lead of several years over our prospective rivals, especially in the field of object and environmental detection," he said.

Christened LUX, the refitted Volkswagen that looks exactly like a standard road model is due to go into small-scale production next year and the firm hopes that its technology can eventually be used in production cars.

At a conference in the US city of San Francisco in February, scientists predicted robot-driven cars could be shuttling humans around by the year 2030.

I see the positives and the negatives with something like this.
The elderly could then get from point A to Point B without causing accidents and without too much trouble. The technology is still at its infancy.

I however don't think if this becomes an option on vehicles I will take it. I like the feel of the road, the feel of the wheel and the freedom of driving. Unless I live long enough to be really elderly then I will call my Car "Charles" and have him drive me around wherever the hell I want.

Time To Act on Immigration Reform!!!

Recently a criminal illegal murdered two girls in a DUI accident see here.
Now, reports of the way illegal immigrants have to live when they get here is coming out in the open.

Authorities found at least 80 suspected illegal immigrants in a house west of Phoenix and arrested two suspected smugglers, a police official said.
Authorities shot tear gas into the house, forcing one of the suspected smugglers out. They found the other suspect hiding in the attic, said Peoria police spokesman Mike Tellef.
He said authorities became aware of the drop house after a Michigan resident called U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, saying one of their relatives had called because the smugglers were demanding more money.
ICE spokeswoman Virginia Kice did not confirm how the agency became aware of the drop house and declined to release further information.
Tellef said none of the immigrants requested medical treatment, although some had said they hadn't eaten for at least a day.
"We're very fortunate that nobody got hurt," he said. "We're lucky that we're not running into 100-degree temperatures yet."
The one-story home is located in a middle-class neighborhood, he said.
The immigrants were in the custody of ICE.
Tellef said the drop house is the second the department has found this week. On Monday, he said 30 suspected illegal immigrants and four suspected smugglers were found in a Peoria home.
On Thursday in Phoenix, police found 60 suspected illegal immigrants packed in a home after responding to a call about shots being fired. No one was hurt, and the immigrants were turned over to ICE.

I am all for hard working immigrants to come here to America. To live well and prosper. Abide by our laws. Nobody! Nobody, denies this. But, what is happening is this politicaly correct world we live in, people are getting lost in the dark. These people are being exploited for CHEAP LABOR and live in horrible onditions! This is what turning a blind eye to illegal immigrations does!!!

How is this racist when conservatives says we need to change our immigration laws to make sure we need people to come hear LEGALLY? In post-9/11 we need to know who, what, where people are going and doing in ourcountry. But, not only that people are not getting paid fairly and are afraid to tell aurthorities of horrible working conditions and so on!

If you are really compassionate for these people, in coming here and making it in America for themselves and their families, then get them to come legally! That way they do not get lost and abused by companies and criminals!

We have a huge problem with this border issue and immigration. And it is not getting any
better!

Talk about a severe OVERREACTION!

(CBS) NEW YORK In this day and age where young students are frequently charged for serious school offenses such as possessing weapons, dealing drugs, or assaulting other students on school property, one Brooklyn teen's arrest may come as a surprise. A 13-year-old girl was handcuffed and placed under arrest in front of her classmates in Dyker Heights after she wrote "Okay" on her desk.

The "suspect," Chelsea Fraser, says she's sorry for scribbling the word on her desk, but both she and her mother are shocked at the punishment.

"I'm appalled, because here we have rapists, murderers, and you're taking a 13-year-old kid? Wasting valuable manpower to arrest a child who wrote on a desk?" Fraser's mother Diana Silva told CBS 2.

Police confirm that that's exactly what's written on her arrest record and for the crime, she's been charged with criminal mischief and the making of graffiti. Fraser says the day she marked her desk, she was wrongly grouped together with troublemakers who had plastered stickers all over the classroom.

Fraser was arrested at the Dyker Heights Intermediate School on March 30 along with three other male students. She says she was made to empty her pockets and take off her belt. Then she was handcuffed and led out of the school in front of her classmates and placed in the back of a police car.

For writing on the desk?
Sounds pretty stupid to me.
Is there also a three strikes rule for this?
What charges were brought against her? Vandalism?
You know what kind of backlog the system would have if they did this crap all the time? I remember back in the day when they would just make you clean EVERY SINGLE DESK IN THE CLASS. It sucked. And I been there and done that. But to get arrested for it? This principle needs to get his/her head examined. And the arresting officers should have not arrested these kids either. This is hardly a serious enough offense to have them arrest kids for it.

So this war was for BIG US OIL huh?

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Despite claims by some critics that the Bush administration invaded Iraq to take control of its oil, the first contracts with major oil firms from Iraq's new government are likely to go not to U.S. companies, but rather to companies from China, India, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

While Iraqi lawmakers struggle to pass an agreement on exactly who will award the contracts and how the revenue will be shared, experts say a draft version that passed the cabinet earlier this year will likely uphold agreements previously signed by those countries under Saddam Hussein's government.

"The Chinese could announce something within the next few months" if all goes well with the oil law, said James Placke, a senior associate at Cambridge Energy Research Associates who specializes in the Middle East.

The Asian firms are at an advantage for several reasons.

First, less constrained by Western sanctions during the Hussein regime, they've been operating in Iraq and know the country's oilfields, said Falah Aljibury, an energy analyst who has advised several Iraqi oil ministers as well as other OPEC nations.

Aljibury said the first contracts likely awarded will be to the Chinese in the south central part of Iraq, the Vietnamese in the south, the Indians along the Kuwaiti border, and the Indonesians in the western desert.

Kinda throws a wrench in those anti-war protesters no?

Bill O'Reilly vs Geraldo Rivera on ILLEGAL immigration

Watch the video.

O'Reilly and Rivera are going at it about the recent case in Virginia beach about an illegal immigrant named Alfredo Ramos whom was driving while drunk and slammed his vehicle into a car that had 2 teens Alison Kunhardt, 17, and Tessa Tranchant, 16. They were at a traffic light when Ramos slammed into them pinning the two in the car and killing them both.

Couple things I wanted to mention about this case.
BOTH O'Reilly and Rivera are right in what they are saying.
O'Reilly is right in that the immigration policy and local authorities policy on illegal immigrants is very broken. Letting this man continue to stay here after being arrested the first two times and not processing him properly and running proper background checks on him is horrible. He could have had warrants for his arrest for murder and would have been left on the street because they did not check things properly.

Rivera is right in that this case should NOT be made into only and illegal immigration debate or issue. Granted the man was here illegally and and was allowed to stay in the country even after being arrested for drunk driving before by local authorities. BUT drunk driving is NOT something that is only synonymous with illegal immigrants. Its a problem with all races, religions, ages, and immigration statuses.

However the Governor of Virginia is also at some fault here for having two bills in the General Assembly of Virginia that would have "expand the powers of state and local law enforcement officers to include immigration."

Not pass.

The Governors position was this:

Kevin Hall, a spokesman for the governor, said Wednesday that Virginia has not entered into an agreement with the federal government - as some other states have - because immigration is a federal responsibility and because the Virginia State Police are plenty busy already. Besides, the feds have demonstrated that they "don't care" all that much about enforcing the law in every case.

That sounds like cop out to me.
So you don't enforce the law because someone else isn't doing it?
Sounds a bit foolish to me.

Hell the Attorney General PLEADED with the governor to change the laws but he did not

The attorney general sent a letter to the governor in January, pleading with Kaine to do just that. In a news release, McDonnell said there is " a strong correlation between illegal immigrants and crime... the inability of law enforcement to enforce immigration laws threatens law-abiding citizens. "

O'Reilly's blame solely on the mayor and the judge of Virgina Beach are very unwarranted. He should have also pointed the finger at Governor Tim Kaine. Which SURPRISE - SURPRISE is a Democrat. NO shocker at all.

While the illegal immigration debate and issue is something that is hotly contended. Lets not blur the lines with blame on the issue or use single incidents like this to highlight immigration statuses of people.

Should Ramos have been deported absolutely.
But his drunk driving is NOT something that only illegal immigrants share.

Guiliani on Abortions

VOTERS CARE MORE ABOUT SECURITY STANCE THAN ABORTION VIEWS, SAYS GIULIANI: Republican for president Rudy Giuliani is betting S.C. primary voters are more interested in his national security credentials than his moderate views on abortion. The former New York City mayor was in South Carolina Thursday, a day after he announced on national television he supports limited federal funding for abortion, a concept that is anathema to many Republican voters. Giuliani, who is leading the 2008 GOP pack in most national polls and is second in South Carolina surveys, told The State he realizes his views on abortion will be an issue here. "On social issues, there are some differences, but the differences aren't as great as some of the people who oppose me exaggerated," he said before heading to the State House, where he picked up the endorsement of State Treasurer Thomas Ravenel and two influential Republican activists. The State: Giuliani downplays abortion issue in S.C.

Hardcore conservative are being RIDICULOUS with this one issue bullshit. Abortion no matter WHAT they want will NEVER EVER EVER be changed by a sitting president. Only way that will change is with Supreme Court appointments. And even then it will be hotly contended issue for that next appointment because the next appointment could tip the scales one way or the other.

And I personally don't give a crap about a mans relationships. I didn't care about Clinton getting head (only Hilary should), and I sure as hell never cared about Giuliani's marriages. If you do care about those sorts of things you need to reexamine your core beliefs on if you want to vote on 1 issue only. One issue only voters are a damn shame to this great democracy of ours.

I vote on men and women based on principle. Not based on one single issue. I look at the whole package. Weigh the positives and the negatives. There are things that I do not agree with Giuliani on. But the reality is that he IS the best conservative candidate out there.

I DO NOT trust Romney at all. He also has flipped on issue multiple times. He was Governor of Massachusetts and has done some HORRIBLE things with that state. Just ask fellow Bostonians, Such as our own YR Its STILL the most taxed state in the nation. Had those major issues internally with the big dig and still is VERY liberal. He was voted in by appeasing to the liberals in the state.

I know that is what politics was all about. Appeasing to people. But I want someone that is real. Not someone that waivers on their positions to score political points and somehow gain the trust of the people through false prophecy. At least with Giuliani what you see is what you get. And his positions are the same today as they were yesterday or when he was mayor. He believes in fiscal conservatism (something DESPERATELY lacking today), believes in security, believes in tough sentences on criminal, believes is less government.

Romney has flipped simply for appeasement. Examples:

-Now firmly pro-life, despite 2002 tolerance for abortion. (Dec 2006)
-Opposes Roe v Wade, but won't tamper with abortion laws. (Dec 2006)
(that is an oxymoron, there are no abortion laws)
-Vetoed emergency contraception for rape victims. (Jul 2005)
(that is insanity!)
-Endorsed legalization of RU-486. (Mar 2002)
(like I said he waivers back and forth, RU-486 is an abortion pill)

On Gay marriage
-Opposed gay marriage but played fair and upheld law. (Apr 2006)
(you want fairness let them have civil unions)

Is it too early to be talking about this? I sure as hell think so. There is still more than a year and a half before the presidential elections. I am sure more on both candidates will come out. I just hope conservatives stop looking at 1 damn issue to decide who they vote for.

Laser TV coming...

GREAT. I barely have my 55 inch DLP WEGA for a little over a year and BANG! Something new.

Plasma was king until LCD got bigger and better. And just when you thought you could settle down in front of a huge LCD screen and enjoy some high-def peace of mind comes LaserTV. Developed by Novalux, LaserTV has this little calling card: it costs 50% less to produce, has double the color range, and uses 75% less power.

Technology has always been about faster and cheaper, and flat panel TVs have gone on nearly a death spiral of low pricing thanks to cheap manufacturing plants in Mexico and Asia and the ever-increasing leaps in component technology. Circuit City in fact just announced that it was cutting its higher-paid workforce due to razor-slim margins in big ticket electronics.

What Does This Mean?

So here is where LaserTV fits, in the big picture (so to speak.) LaserTV is a projection technology, so if you like micro-thin flat panels, this is not for you. The technology replaces the spinning UHP lamp in the back of projection DLP and LCD TVs with laser-beaming hardware. The lasers are faster and use less power, and they create a picture that side by side, has blown away the best plasma, projection and LCDs sets currently on the market.

Well I guess that means prices will drop for next year and I can get that LCD on the ceiling like I wanted.

Well without the large laser in the room of course.

Iranian Propaganda Panda

Boy did Iran receive a nice fluffy panda of propaganda with their recently released hostages!!I have been holding my 2 cents on the Iranian kidnapping of the 15 British sailors and marines out of respect for their families and friends and the utterly horrible situation they may have been in. Now that they are free. I would like to write about somethings I noticed and thankfully a few other former military friends of mine have noticed as well.

First, was my observation of how the sailors acted while obviously aware of being filmed. They appeared to be no signs of distress. Now knowing of previous Iranian hostages being taken through "mock executions" among other forms of torture and harsh interrogations I wanted to give these sailors the benefit of the doubt they may have been coerced to "act normal." But I saw nothing that put in my mind anything that the sailors put up any fight or act of defiance. And the three letters! My Lord the sucking up to Iran and slap in the face to the British and US!!! That's why I give you a little something from my training from SERE (Survival, Escape, Resistance, and Evasion) School. Basically a mock POW camp to train Navy Sailors and Marines. Other forms of vital training and instruction was how to survive on your own in the battlefield if you are alone i.e., shot down or somehow separated from your unit somehow, no matter what the situation and... resistance to interrogation.

Code of Conduct

I - I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

II - I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.

III - If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and to aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.

IV - If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way.

V - When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.

VI - I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the
principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.

In other words, never give your captors anything they could use as a propaganda tool. If you can't avoid it defy it by any means. Act like a robot, rain man, talk like a duck, blink like a maniac, only use your middle finger! ANYTHING!!! As I said before, there is no telling what the Iranian Revolutionary Guard was doing behind the camera to the other sailors and I hope after their debreifing in Britian something like that comes out but, dang did they look comfortable "confessing" to the Iranian people!

Secondly, didn't the sailors have guns and friggin British warship nearby!!! News sources are saying the captain of the British ship that sent the boarding team first had to get PERMISSION! WTF blow the dingys out the friggin water!!!

Now some news sources are saying that Britain paid for the release of the hostages by swapping prisoners!!! Story Here

"The stand-off over the 15 British sailors and marines captured by Iran looks to be moving towards a de facto prisoner exchange, despite denials by Britain and Iran that a swap was intended."

Britain and it's Navy seriously got a slap in the face by this and Achthenutjob looks like a genius in Iran right now.

The War on Terror is over???

Not exactly. Only in the mind of left wing democrats it is.

No more GWOT, House committee decrees

By Rick Maze - Staff writer
Posted : Wednesday Apr 4, 2007 16:11:56 EDT

The House Armed Services Committee is banishing the global war on terror from the 2008 defense budget.

This is not because the war has been won, lost or even called off, but because the committee’s Democratic leadership doesn’t like the phrase.

A memo for the committee staff, circulated March 27, says the 2008 bill and its accompanying explanatory report that will set defense policy should be specific about military operations and “avoid using colloquialisms.”

The “global war on terror,” a phrase first used by President Bush shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the U.S., should not be used, according to the memo. Also banned is the phrase the “long war,” which military officials began using last year as a way of acknowledging that military operations against terrorist states and organizations would not be wrapped up in a few years.

Committee staff members are told in the memo to use specific references to specific operations instead of the Bush administration’s catch phrases. The memo, written by Staff Director Erin Conaton, provides examples of acceptable phrases, such as “the war in Iraq,” the “war in Afghanistan, “operations in the Horn of Africa” or “ongoing military operations throughout the world.”

“There was no political intent in doing this,” said a Democratic aide who asked not to be identified. “We were just trying to avoid catch phrases.”

Josh Holly, a spokesman for Rep. Duncan Hunter of California, the committee’s former chairman and now its senior Republican, said Republicans “were not consulted” about the change.

There you have it folks.
Global War on terror is over.
Appeasement is a very sad thing for a nation.
And eventually leads to its demise if not corrected.
France during WW2 is a perfect example.

What is next folks?
We still have 2 more years of finding out.
Think now. Its only been 3 months since Democrats took over and already they are Neutering our military on every front. This is what in military talk is FLANKING YOUR ENEMY. There is no other way of viewing this.

Energy Savings in Cuba?

Of all the Latin American nations that Mr. Puig could go to learn about renewable energy. First coming to mind is Brazil. This clown picks Cuba?

Cuba and Dominican Republic discuss environment and energy saving

Havana.- As part of his first visit to Cuba, Dominican environment minister Max Puig has been holding discussions on energy saving and plans to reduce the effects of climate change.

During a meeting with the Cuban science, technology and environment minister, Puig expressed an interest in Cuba’s experiences of using renewable energy and the country’s energy saving program, according to local media.

Puig described Cuban environmental protection experiences as “worthy” and said that the initiatives would be “very useful”.

“We are interested in making the most of them”, he said.

The Dominican minister said he was particularly interested in pollution reduction measures, biodiversity, species reproduction, river basin management and energy saving.

Puig said that the Dominican Republic is dependent on fuel imports, particularly petroleum, which exceeds US$2bn a year.

“We’re benefiting from the solidarity and support of our sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, but we also have to change our energy production and consumption patterns”, said the Dominican minister.

Puig is due to sign an agreement setting out concrete proposals for cooperation between the two island nations on Wednesday. He returns to the DR the following day.

So lets go step by step here on this thinking.

-So how is Cuba saving 2 billion a year in Petroleum costs?
CHAVEZ! The man give MILLIONS of barrels to Cuba because big daddy Castro is the brain child of his "revolucion" and his new march towards Dictatorship. After all Castro wrote the book on how to DUPE a nation into giving him absolute and total control. Just promise them the WORLD and find an enemy in the US.

-Renewable energy usage.
THAT is called rolling blackouts and in some cases just "se fue la luz" fovever.

-Energy savings program
Thats easy. Just don't rebuild ANYTHING and let buildings fall apart and use the rubble for landscaping.

Lord knows what kind of cooperation is possible between the two nations.

Wait for it to make its way to the US...

The first set of Carbon Neutrality taxes has reared its ugly head already.
But on the oddest of things.

BBQ!

BRUSSELS, April 3 (RIA Novosti) - The government of Belgium's French-speaking region of Wallonia, which has a population of about 4 million, has approved a tax on barbequing, local media reported.

Experts said that between 50 and 100 grams of CO2, a so-called greenhouse gas, is emitted during barbequing. Beginning June 2007, residents of Wallonia will have to pay 20 euros for a grilling session.

The local authorities plan to monitor compliance with the new tax legislation from helicopters, whose thermal sensors will detect burning grills.

Scientists believe CO2 emissions are a major cause of global warming.

Yes ladies and gentleman.
You want to BBQ in Belgium you need to pay a CO2 tax.
Awesome! Wait for it to hit the US in the future. Picture that. No more firing up the BBQ for summer time because you have to pay a tax to EAT!

Tax on breathing to come next.

Real News from Iraq

I often am asked when in debates or when in forums about what positive news can possibly be coming from Iraq. Hell I rather they ask what about REAL news. Not the constant negative drum beat that the MSM media portrays daily.

I posted some link on the side of GREAT sites from bloggers that are posting and showing videos and commentary on their daily lives in Iraq. Their reactions to actions by the US and within their own governments.

Its real news not the BS you are lead to believe is the only news in Iraq.

Alive in Baghdad

Hometown Baghdad

Iraq the Model

Baghdad Burning

I encourage everyone to read these sites. Watch their video particularly the first one. It shows the mixed feelings by many Iraqis but shows one thing above all. REAL NEWS AND VIEWS!

UK Teachers not teaching about the Holocaust!?

Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, a Governmentbacked study has revealed.

It found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.

There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades - where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem - because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques.

The findings have prompted claims that some schools are using history 'as a vehicle for promoting political correctness'.

The study, funded by the Department for Education and Skills, looked into 'emotive and controversial' history teaching in primary and secondary schools.

It found some teachers are dropping courses covering the Holocaust at the earliest opportunity over fears Muslim pupils might express anti-Semitic and anti-Israel reactions in class.

And the bullshit continues....

The researchers gave the example of a secondary school in an unnamed northern city, which dropped the Holocaust as a subject for GCSE coursework.

The report said teachers feared confronting 'anti-Semitic sentiment and Holocaust denial among some Muslim pupils'.

It added: "In another department, the Holocaust was taught despite anti-Semitic sentiment among some pupils.

"But the same department deliberately avoided teaching the Crusades at Key Stage 3 (11- to 14-year-olds) because their balanced treatment of the topic would have challenged what was taught in some local mosques."

A third school found itself 'strongly challenged by some Christian parents for their treatment of the Arab-Israeli conflict-and the history of the state of Israel that did not accord with the teachings of their denomination'.

The report concluded: "In particular settings, teachers of history are unwilling to challenge highly contentious or charged versions of history in which pupils are steeped at home, in their community or in a place of worship."

But Chris McGovern, history education adviser to the former Tory government, said: "History is not a vehicle for promoting political correctness. Children must have access to knowledge of these controversial subjects, whether palatable or unpalatable."

The researchers also warned that a lack of subject knowledge among teachers - particularly at primary level - was leading to history being taught in a 'shallow way leading to routine and superficial learning'.

Lessons in difficult topics were too often 'bland, simplistic and unproblematic' and bored pupils.

So indoctrinating these youths at a young age with talks of Holocaust denial is ok. But to teach them the TRUTH is not.
WOW! And they say that religious extremism doesn't exist. And folks like Rosie O'Donnel call CHRISTIANITY a larger threat. HA!

I don't know why liberals can't let it go but...

its going to be reviewed yet once again.

HBO is revisiting one of the most dramatic events in U.S. election history with "Recount," a film about the 2000 turmoil in Florida to be directed by Oscar winner Sydney Pollack.

Paula Weinstein is executive producing the HBO Films project, which is targeted to premiere in spring 2008.

Written by actor Danny Strong, Spring Creek Prods.' "Recount" chronicles the weeks after the 2000 presidential election and goes behind the scenes of the recounts in Florida to explore the human drama of ordinary people caught in an extraordinary event that would decide the leadership of the country.

"It's a very compelling piece that takes a well-known event and deconstructs it from the point of view of the people involved," HBO Films president Colin Callender said.

While "Recount" takes on one of the most controversial and politically charged episodes in recent history, the telefilm has no political agenda, Callender said.

Riiiight no political agenda.
Sydney Pollack, a man that agrees with Abraham Polonsky whom has said that the Castro regime was EXCELLENT. Seriously now. NO political agenda. Then on top of that it is going to be released in 2008. I wonder what political event is happening in 2008? Ohhh yeah that crazy thing called PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS.
I will probably watch it. Always good to kill some time.

Was this the big one I spoke about 2 weeks ago?

Two Weeks ago I posted about the strange chain of events from volcano eruptions in areas around the world.
This may have been the final release of pressure that I spoke about.

HONIARA, Solomon Islands (AP) - Tsunami waves churned by an undersea earthquake crashed ashore in the Solomon Islands on Monday, wiping away entire villages and triggering alerts from Australia to Hawaii, officials said. At least 13 people were killed, and the prime minister warned that the toll would likely grow.

In the South Pacific nation's west, where the devastation appeared centered, there were reports of people being swept away as waves plowed up to a half-mile inland. The magnitude-8 quake that created the tsunami was followed by more than two dozen aftershocks, including at least four of magnitude-6 or stronger.

"It was just a noise like an underground explosion," said Dorothy Parkinson, a resident of Gizo, where a wall of water swept through the streets. "The wave came almost instantaneously. Everything that was standing is flattened."

Some residents described a wave up to 16 feet tall.

Say a prayer for all those that have died please.

Cool, now the EPA regulates how you breathe.

The US Supreme Court ruled Monday that the Environmental Protection Agency must consider greenhouse gases as pollutants, in a blow to the White House.

"Because greenhouse gases fit well within the Clean Air Act's capacious definition of 'air pollutant' we hold that EPA has the statutory authority to regulate the emission of such gases from new motor vehicles," the court ruled.

Led by Massachusetts, a dozen states along with several US cities and environmental groups went to the courts to determine whether the agency had the authority to regulate greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide emissions.

"The harms associated with climate change are serious and well recognized," said judge John Paul Stevens as the ruling was carried by five votes in favor to four against.

The Republican administration of US President George W. Bush has fiercely opposed any imposition of binding greenhouse limits on the nation's industry.

Environmentalists have alleged that since Bush came to office in 2001 his administration has ignored and tried to hide looming evidence of global warming and the key role of human activity in climate change.

As the issue has come to the fore in the US, the White House earlier this year issued a rare open letter defending Bush's record on climate change, rejecting criticisms that he has only recently awakened to the problem.

Monday's ruling was immediately hailed by environmental campaigners which has been fighting for greater regulations in a nation which accounts for a quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions.

"It is a watershed moment in the fight against global warming," said Josh Dorner, spokesman for the Sierra Club environmental group.

"This is a total repudiation of the refusal of the Bush administration to use the authority he has to meet the challenge posed by global warming.

It also "sends a clear signal to the market that the future lies not in dirty, outdated technology of yesterday, but in clean energy solutions of tomorrow like wind, solar," he added.

Now the EPA can regulate how often you can breathe out. After all CO2 is what you excrete as long as you are alive and breathing.

But for all you that want to be carbon neutral follow these easy steps:

Take a big breathe and HOLD IT.....
Keep Holding......
........
Still there?
Keep Holding......
Turning Purple Yet?
Hold it...Hold it...
Feeling dizzy?
Hold it...

Have you hit the keayboard with your head from passing out?

NOW you are carbon neutral.
