"Comprehensive Immigration Reform"

God, where do I even start with this thing.
Let me start by saying that I have read SOME of the actual text of this thing and its REALLY boring to read but there are things in it that will open your eyes.

The Heritage Foundation happened to do us all the favor and put up the actual text of the bill HERE

Its not exactly a Brad Thor novel but it is a must read for anyone that really cares about the direction that this "IMMIGRATION REFORM" will take this nation.

For its part the Heritage Foundation has done some GREAT research on the subject matter and even given some very stark figures and analysis to back up their claims. All of which point to the complete destruction of the middle class in America. The erosion of high skilled labor and technical labor in favor of more HB1 Visas which is also part of this bill.

From The Fiscal Cost of Low-Skill Immigrants to the U.S. Taxpayer. In which they look at EVERY fiscal angle of this immigration bill and the implications it has on the future of America. How the very core of the middle class is not only ATTACKED but a bunker buster dropped on it. How you ask?

By most reports, there were some 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. in 2004.[13] About 9.3 million of these individuals were adults.[14] Roughly 50 to 60 percent of these illegal adult immigrants lacked a high school degree.[15] About 90 percent of illegal immigrants are reported in the CPS.[16] This report covers only those illegal immigrants reported in the CPS and does not address the remaining 10 percent not counted by the Census Bureau.

The Heritage Foundation also looks at how this effects the middle class through the new addition of now out in the open illegal immigrants.

The High Cost of Low-Skill Immigrants

The Heritage report, published as the Senate takes up legislation to put illegal aliens on a fast track to citizenship, calculates that households of low-skill immigrants paid an average $10,573 in taxes in fiscal 2004.

But these low-skill immigrants received almost three times as much -- $30,160 per household -- in government benefits and services. That's a "fiscal deficit" of $19,587.

That's also about $10,000 more in services and benefits -- mostly welfare payments -- than the average U.S. household got.

"Over the next 10 years," analysts Robert Rector and Christine Kim write, "the net cost (benefits minus taxes) to the taxpayer of low-skill immigrant households will approach $1 trillion."

At least half of adult illegal aliens don't have a high school diploma, according to Pew Hispanic Center, compared with 25 percent of legal immigrants. By contrast, 9 percent of nonimmigrant adults lack a high school diploma.

It also goes into the aspect of the well known Pyramid Scheme called SOCIAL SECURITY and the new implications and faster peril an already bankrupt system will face.

These figures belie the notion that government can relieve financial strains in Social Security and other programs simply by importing younger immigrant workers. The fiscal impact of an immigrant worker is determined far more by skill level than by age. Low-skill immigrant workers impose a net drain on government finance as soon as they enter the country and add significantly to those costs every year they remain. Actually, older low-skill immigrants are less costly to the U.S. taxpayer since they will be a burden on the fisc for a shorter period of time.

Through it all this entire bill comes down to this one line by House Minority Leader John Boehner: "ITS A PIECE OF SHIT"

I simply cannot grasp WHY the Republicans have gone along with what amounts to AMNESTY. Forget what the President is saying, what Secretary Chertof is saying. This bill is the same rehashed crap from 20 years ago in 1986. Only with 10-20 times MORE of a problem.

There may be SOME connection to all of this in the form of what Mexico has been doing in helping on the war on terror. And the "assistance" in apprehending the border crossing of thousands of Middle Easterners at our Southern Borders. As noted in the long 4 part story in the San Antonio News Express. Of a middle eastern man and his progress and journey into the United States

He had become ensnared in the outer edge of a largely unknown American security net, spun out of fear and perhaps a necessary presumption that Boles and his new cellmates might well be terrorists bent on infiltrating the U.S.

But Boles also was in the clutches of another country's rarely discussed security preoccupation. Mexico's fear that an attack on the U.S. might originate on its soil had elevated counterterrorism to a top Mexico priority and produced one of the most closely intertwined partnerships in the American war on terror, particularly on the question of special-interest immigrants.

But if that is the case it still seems really silly and stupid to trade one good policy for America for one really BAD one! You see Mexico KNOWS and their biggest fear is that the next terrorist attack comes with a Mexico stamp. Mexico knowing that with that sort of occurrence it pretty much ends having the 50% of their GDP from coming in. Which is the exportation of workers into the US to send money back to Mexico.

The Heritage Foundation goes as far as to layout even the MYTHS behind what Bush and his administration is saying about this bill.

Myth-busting the White House on Immigration

1. MYTH: This is not amnesty.

FACT: The bill takes an approach similar to that of the 1986 immigration law. President Reagan backed that law... and called it amnesty. So does Black's Law Dictionary, which says, 'the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act provided amnesty for undocumented aliens already in the country.'"

The Administration says it" not amnesty because illegal immigrants will be "punished," i.e., they'll have to pay a $1,000 fine. That" not enough to cover the government" processing costs. In return, people who have entered the country illegally would get to (1) stay here permanently, (2) gain immediate entitlement to government assistance and benefits and (3) bring their families over as well. This is beyond amnesty. It doesn't just forgive criminal behavior, it rewards it.

2. MYTH: This proposal does not repeat the mistakes of the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act.

FACT: This proposal exacerbates those mistakes. The 1986 law approved amnesty for 3 million immigrants in exchange for "greatly strengthened" border security and law enforcement. This bill would provide amnesty three to four times as many illegals, while offering the same empty promises to beef up enforcement.

The 1986 law gave temporary resident status to most illegals who could show they'd lived here continuously for five years. The new proposal would do this for anyone who" lived here for the last five months. The only "proof" required: an affidavit signed by anyone other than a blood relative of the applicant, and a second, equally non-secure document.

3. MYTH: The government will crack down on the hiring of illegal workers.

FACT: You can't "crack down" on something that doesn't exist. And all but a handful of illegal workers will become magically legal within 24 hours of applying for the new Z-visa. Even when an illegal is found to be ineligible for a Z-visa, the proposal states "nothing in this paragraph shall require the Secretary to commence removal proceedings against an alien." There" also a huge loophole that waves current deportation requirements due to "humanitarian circumstances."

4. MYTH: This proposal would not cut in half the amount of fence built by the Secure Fence Act of 2006.

FACT: The Secure Fence Act authorized 700 miles of new fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border. The proposal would implement the new temporary worker and Z visa programs once the feds have installed at least 370 miles of fencing. So the White House is correct. It wouldn't cut fencing by "half," only by 47 percent.

5. MYTH: The trigger period will not cause a rush to the border.

FACT: Limiting amnesty "only" to those who entered the country illegally prior to Jan. 1, does nothing to stem the rush to the border. Since illegals can get a Z visa on the basis of only two easily-manufactured documents, fraudulent documentation will keep the stream of illegal immigrants flowing. All the trigger period does is create an incentive for today" illegals to claim they've been illegal since Jan. 1.

6. MYTH: By providing an opportunity for citizenship to illegal immigrants already here, the bill will not exponentially increase extended-family chain migration.

FACT: In granting immediate amnesty to so many millions, the bill will dramatically accelerate family chain migration over the next six years. At that point, the proposal purports to replace family chain migration with skill-based immigration preferences. That change may or may not occur. Meanwhile, the bill establishes a brand-new opening for chain migration: "family members in hardship cases."

7. MYTH: The temporary worker program is good for American workers.

FACT: By creating both the Z visa program and the Y visa program (for future temporary workers), the proposal sets the stage for millions of new workers to enter the labor market, potentially depressing wages.

Meanwhile, the influx of workers will increase demand for higher taxes. The bill would allow guest workers to bring their spouses and children into the U.S. These children would be entitled to free education (average taxpayer cost: $9,600 per child). Plus any child born to a guest worker here is deemed a U.S. citizen with guaranteed lifetime entitlement to more than 60 different federal welfare programs.

8. MYTH: Illegal immigrants will not come onto the welfare rolls.

FACT: As soon as illegals get Z-visa status, they become eligible for free medical care under Medicaid and their children are immediately entitled to welfare. After five years in Lawful Permanent Resident status, amnesty recipients become eligible for nearly all 60 federal welfare programs including food stamps, public housing, and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families.

9. MYTH: Government agencies will be able to share information to pursue immigration violators.

FACT: True and false. Unless a background check turns up something criminal about a Z visa applicant within 24 hours after the initial paperwork is submitted, enforcement agencies are blocked from pursuing deportation for a full year.

The bill also gives the Secretary of Homeland Security authority to require a national ID card... for all citizens.

10. MYTH: Senators can cast an informed vote on the bill today.

FACT: Senators did not receive even a draft of the bill until 2 a.m. Saturday--leaving them less than three days to read and understand this complex and convoluted proposal before being forced to vote to bring it to the floor. Only after that vote will they receive a final copy of the proposal--legislation that will affect American security, our economy culture for generations to come. The bill" proponents are pressing for a vote on final passage -- without congressional hearings, committee mark-up, fiscal analysis, expert testimony, or public comment -- before the Memorial Day recess. So much for due diligence by "the world" greatest deliberative body."

Michelle Malkin has also done a great piece on this very issue:
The comprehensive open-borders goodie bag. Highlighting parts of the bill that SCREAM AMNESTY!

All the while we have Tony Snow on Bill Bennetts show blowing Smoke up our ASS!

Which brings me to our own beloved senator here in Florida. MEL "Shamnesty" MARTINEZ. Yes we have talked about Mel before

In fact I sent him an email yesterday pretty much saying my position and how he will NEVER EVER win another election in the state of Florida. That is pretty much a guarantee.

But there needs to be more than just sending emails to these "Senators". We the American LEGAL Citizens of this nation NEED TO RALLY. There needs to be a movement within the Citizenship to stop this BULLSHIT now. We can send all the emails we want, mail bricks to senators but in the end we need to send a CLEAR MESSAGE to all of these Senators that THEY WORK FOR US! NOT FOR THE ILLEGALS! They are CIVIL SERVANTS THAT WORK FOR THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION!

There needs to be rally of MASSIVE proportions in the streets of this country that send a RESOUNDING HELL FUCKING NO to this bill. I will be urging the likes of Rush, Hannity, O'Reily, Malkin, Ingrham, Boortz, Campbell, Hedinger, Gallagher, Savage, Lou Dobbs, Bill Bennet, Levin, Medved, Sliwa ETC to band together on the radio and TV to rally America not just on their TV screens but to take to the streets. This is not a partisan issue. Its not even a racial issue. I myself am Latino and damn proud of it. This is a LEGAL IMMIGRATION ISSUE and how we the people want this nation shaped!

Its perhaps the ONLY way that we can get a clear message to Washington that this will be TOTALLY unacceptable to the people of this nation.

Mormon's?

Now I usually don't like to get into discussion about Religion and the teachings of any religions if they don't want to chop my head off. It usually sparks very heated debate, so I try to avoid it at all costs. But listening to this today on the radio really disturbed me!

Watch the below video it had my eyebrows rise and saying WTF many times!

Weren't Liberals Complaining about Republicans before?

Democrats are wielding a heavy hand on the House Rules Committee, committing many of the procedural sins for which they condemned Republicans during their 12 years in power.

So far this year, Democrats have frequently prevented Republicans from offering amendments, limited debate in the committee and, just last week, maneuvered around chamber rules to protect a $23 million project for Rep. John P. Murtha (D-Pa.).

On Wednesday, Democrats suggested changing the House rules to limit the minority's right to offer motions to recommit bills back to committee -- violating a protection that has been in place since 1822.

Much of this heavy-handedness is standard procedure in the House, where the majority has every right to dominate, but it contradicts the many campaign promises Democratic leaders made last year to run a cleaner, more open Congress.

Just last December, House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (D-Md.) declared that Democrats "intend to have a Rules Committee ... that gives opposition voices and alternative proposals the ability to be heard and considered on the floor of the House."

If this sounds familiar, it is. Republicans made similar promises in 1994, only to renege when they took control of the Congress in 1995.

Democrats have made a number of small revisions -- such as meeting earlier in the day -- but their overall record in the new Congress has fallen well short of that goal.

"The Democrats have not made good on a single promise they made during 2006, especially when it comes to fostering a more open and deliberative House of Representatives," Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) said. "Instead of making the House more open and deliberative, they've gone in the opposite direction, doing things we never even contemplated during our time in the majority."

The Democratic spokesman for the Rules Committee sees it differently.

"We've passed a lot of bills, and we've passed them through the committees," said spokesman John Santore. "We're operating in an objectively fair way."

The Rules Committee itself is an often overlooked partisan backwater, where members engage in fierce debates about what amendments, if any, members can offer to bills on the floor. Under Republican rule, the committee often met late at night, when few reporters were around to cover the minority's protests.

The committee, arguably the majority's most powerful tool, serves as a bulwark for the party in power, allowing it to limit debate on controversial bills and prevent the minority from offering amendments to dramatically alter legislation introduced by the majority.

As such, the committee is extremely partisan, and that partisanship often gets personal. The current chairwoman, Rep. Louise McIntosh Slaughter (D-N.Y.), for example, has an extremely strained relationship with California Rep. David Dreier, the committee's ranking Republican, who preceded her as chairman.

Republicans need to stop complaining and grow some balls.
Regain power by doing what you said you are going to do in 1994 and becoming the conservatives which America so desperately needs!

Illegals are voting now?

Somehow I am not surprised!

EXCLUSIVE: Hundreds of Illegals Have Registered to Vote in Bexar County

Officials are confident new procedures will purge them from the rolls
By Jim Forsyth
Wednesday, May 16, 2007

Hundreds of illegal immigrants have registered to vote in Bexar County in recent years and dozens of them have actually cast ballots, canceling out the votes of U.S. citizens, 1200 WOAI news will report Thursday morning.

Figures obtained by 1200 WOAI news shows 303 illegals successfully registered to vote, and at least 41 cast ballots in various elections.

Bexar County Elections Administrator Jackie Callanan confirmed the figures, but she says a new form of voter registration card, which requires people to swear they are citizens when they register, should help cut the problem, because people who vote illegally can be charged with perjury.

And the county has some sly ways to catch them.

"Maybe they have received a jury summons, the jury wheel relies on registered voters. They send a statement to the jury room that says they are not U.S. citizens and then we get that report immediately," Callanan says.

It's a hot issue in the Texas Legislature, where republicans are pushing a bill that would require voters to show some form of identification before voting.

"Considering that a photo ID is required to buy Sudafed, I can't understand why anyone would argue that the same standard, if not a higher standard, should apply to voting," Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst said. "Why would any Texan oppose legislation that ensures only U.S. citizens vote in elections?"

While not taking a position on the legislation, Callanan warned that any law that required that people present ID at the polling place might actually discourage people from voting.

"It will be cumbersome to have them presented at the polls," she said. "The lines will be longer. It will require an additional check."

Some Democrats in the Legislature have fought the proposal, saying it would keep the poor and minorities, who generally vote Democratic, away from the polls. A key Democratic Senator and Dewhurst got into an argument on the floor of the Senate over the emotional issue.

Callanan says if an ID law is approved, she hopes a process is in place to allow the Secretary of State, not the individual poll judges at the polling places, to inspect the identification and certify that a voter is fit to vote.

Dewhurst says the legislation has been rewritten to make it as easy as possible for a person to prove their legal citizenship.

"Voters can now present military ID, valid employee ID, citizenship certificate, passport, student ID card, handgun permit, utility bill, bank statement, pay stub, mail from a government entity, marriage license, birth certificate, adoption certificate, pilot's license, hunting license, or even a library card," Dewhurst said. "What's so hard about this?"

I wonder which party they voted for. Hmmmmmmmm

Proponents now skeptics?

This was way too good to pass up.

Geophysicist Dr. Claude Allegre, a top geophysicist and French Socialist who has authored more than 100 scientific articles and written 11 books and received numerous scientific awards including the Goldschmidt Medal from the Geochemical Society of the United States, converted from climate alarmist to skeptic in 2006. Allegre, who was one of the first scientists to sound global warming fears 20 years ago, now says the cause of climate change is "unknown" and accused the “prophets of doom of global warming” of being motivated by money, noting that "the ecology of helpless protesting has become a very lucrative business for some people!" “Glaciers’ chronicles or historical archives point to the fact that climate is a capricious phenomena. This fact is confirmed by mathematical meteorological theories. So, let us be cautious,” Allegre explained in a September 21, 2006 article in the French newspaper L'EXPRESS. The National Post in Canada also profiled Allegre on March 2, 2007, noting “Allegre has the highest environmental credentials.

Well that is just one guy no?

Geologist Bruno Wiskel of the University of Alberta recently reversed his view of man-made climate change and instead became a global warming skeptic. Wiskel was once such a big believer in man-made global warming that he set out to build a “Kyoto house” in honor of the UN sanctioned Kyoto Protocol which was signed in 1997. Wiskel wanted to prove that the Kyoto Protocol’s goals were achievable by people making small changes in their lives. But after further examining the science behind Kyoto, Wiskel reversed his scientific views completely and became such a strong skeptic, that he recently wrote a book titled “The Emperor's New Climate: Debunking the Myth of Global Warming.” A November 15, 2006 Edmonton Sun article explains Wiskel’s conversion while building his “Kyoto house”: “Instead, he said he realized global warming theory was full of holes and ‘red flags,’ and became convinced that humans are not responsible for rising temperatures.” Wiskel now says “the truth has to start somewhere.” Noting that the Earth has been warming for 18,000 years, Wiskel told the Canadian newspaper, “If this happened once and we were the cause of it, that would be cause for concern. But glaciers have been coming and going for billions of years."

ok wait wait. So its only 2 guys.....

Astrophysicist Dr. Nir Shaviv, one of Israel's top young award winning scientists, recanted his belief that manmade emissions were driving climate change. ""Like many others, I was personally sure that CO2 is the bad culprit in the story of global warming. But after carefully digging into the evidence, I realized that things are far more complicated than the story sold to us by many climate scientists or the stories regurgitated by the media. In fact, there is much more than meets the eye,” Shaviv said in February 2, 2007 Canadian National Post article. According to Shaviv, the C02 temperature link is only “incriminating circumstantial evidence.” "Solar activity can explain a large part of the 20th-century global warming" and "it is unlikely that [the solar climate link] does not exist,” Shaviv noted pointing to the impact cosmic- rays have on the atmosphere. According to the National Post, Shaviv believes that even a doubling of CO2 in the atmosphere by 2100 "will not dramatically increase the global temperature." “Even if we halved the CO2 output, and the CO2 increase by 2100 would be, say, a 50% increase relative to today instead of a doubled amount, the expected reduction in the rise of global temperature would be less than 0.5C. This is not significant,” Shaviv explained. Shaviv also wrote on August 18, 2006 that a colleague of his believed that “CO2 should have a large effect on climate” so “he set out to reconstruct the phanerozoic temperature.

Well this is getting RIDICULOUS is it not?

Let me take this one short break by saying LOOK AT THE MOON YOU STUPID FUCKS!
The moon is more responsible for our weather then it gets credit for.
THE SUN TOO YOU DUMB ECO FREAKS! You want to stop "global warming" block the SUN from the earth!

Mathematician & engineer Dr. David Evans, who did carbon accounting for the Australian Government, recently detailed his conversion to a skeptic. “I devoted six years to carbon accounting, building models for the Australian government to estimate carbon emissions from land use change and forestry. When I started that job in 1999 the evidence that carbon emissions caused global warming seemed pretty conclusive, but since then new evidence has weakened the case that carbon emissions are the main cause. I am now skeptical,” Evans wrote in an April 30, 2007 blog. “But after 2000 the evidence for carbon emissions gradually got weaker -- better temperature data for the last century, more detailed ice core data, then laboratory evidence that cosmic rays precipitate low clouds,” Evans wrote. “As Lord Keynes famously said, ‘When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?’” he added. Evans noted how he benefited from climate fears as a scientist. “And the political realm in turn fed money back into the scientific community. By the late 1990's, lots of jobs depended on the idea that carbon emissions caused global warming. Many of them were bureaucratic, but there were a lot of science jobs created too. I was on that gravy train, making a high wage in a science job that would not have existed if we didn't believe carbon emissions caused global warming. And so were lots of people around me; and there were international conferences full of such people. And we had political support, the ear of government, big budgets, and we felt fairly important and useful (well, I did anyway). It was great. We were working to save the planet! But starting in about 2000, the last three of the four pieces of evidence outlined above fell away or reversed,” Evans wrote. “The pre-2000 ice core data was the central evidence for believing that atmospheric carbon caused temperature increases. The new ice core data shows that past warmings were *not* initially caused by rises in atmospheric carbon, and says nothing about the strength of any amplification.

It gets better yet!

Climate researcher Dr. Tad Murty, former Senior Research Scientist for Fisheries and Oceans in Canada, also reversed himself from believer in man-made climate change to a skeptic. “I stated with a firm belief about global warming, until I started working on it myself,” Murty explained on August 17, 2006. “I switched to the other side in the early 1990's when Fisheries and Oceans Canada asked me to prepare a position paper and I started to look into the problem seriously,” Murty explained. Murty was one of the 60 scientists who wrote an April 6, 2006 letter urging withdrawal of Kyoto to Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper which stated in part, "If, back in the mid-1990s, we knew what we know today about climate, Kyoto would almost certainly not exist, because we would have concluded it was not necessary.”

Physicist Dr. Zbigniew Jaworowski, chairman of the Central Laboratory for the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Radiological Protection in Warsaw, took a scientific journey from a believer of man-made climate change in the form of global cooling in the 1970’s all the way to converting to a skeptic of current predictions of catastrophic man-made global warming. “At the beginning of the 1970s I believed in man-made climate cooling, and therefore I started a study on the effects of industrial pollution on the global atmosphere, using glaciers as a history book on this pollution,” Dr. Jaworowski, wrote on August 17, 2006. “With the advent of man-made warming political correctness in the beginning of 1980s, I already had a lot of experience with polar and high altitude ice, and I have serious problems in accepting the reliability of ice core CO2 studies,” Jaworowski added. Jaworowski, who has published many papers on climate with a focus on CO2 measurements in ice cores, also dismissed the UN IPCC summary and questioned what the actual level of C02 was in the atmosphere in a March 16, 2007 report in EIR science entitled “CO2: The Greatest Scientific Scandal of Our Time.” “We thus find ourselves in the situation that the entire theory of man-made global warming—with its repercussions in science, and its important consequences for politics and the global economy—is based on ice core studies that provided a false picture of the atmospheric CO2 levels,” Jaworowski wrote.

There are about another 10 more on that site above.
ENJOY WARMING FREAKS!
LMFAO....

All just an anamoly

Break your regularly scheduled Global "Warming" talk to bring to you a slight COOLING for April.

The average temperature in April 2007 was 51.7 F. This was -0.3 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average, the 47th coolest April in 113 years. The temperature trend for the period of record (1895 to present) is 0.1 degrees Fahrenheit per decade.

2.09 inches of precipitation fell in April. This was -0.34 inches less than the 1901-2000 average, the 30th driest such month on record. The precipitation trend for the period of record (1895 to present) is 0.01 inches per decade.

Don't worry we will be back to normal boiling levels by July.

Gay Sailor Called Back To Active Duty

Stars And Stripes broke this story that I have not yet seen anywhere on the MSM.
I wonder why because this has the potential to be used by libs to once agin trash the Bush Admin.
My thoughts on homosexuals and the military is this; homophobs need to shut the F up!
Gays have been serving and will continue to serve in the military. The Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy should include not discharging those found to be gay! Just leave the issue alone. I seriously gays will put pink ribbons on their fatigues and prance around all happy and joyful like how most stereotypically people think gays are! I won't even go into what Gen. Pace has said on the issue! lol
It is been shown how all the branches of military have discharged gay servicemembers from very essential and mission critical jobs! Jobs that are not easily and readily replaced be qualified members. And as the author of the article notes that the military's number of discharged gay memebers has decreased. I think the military has now seen that they may have overacted with discharging those who want to serve and the needs of the military are growing.

Now here is the story in it entirety;

On his wedding night in July 2004, then-Petty Officer 3rd Class Jason
Knight finally accepted a truth he had fought against for years: he was gay.
Almost immediately, he moved to get his marriage annulled. He apologized to
the woman he'd married. And when it came time to explain his changing
circumstances to the Navy, he left nothing out. Under the military's "don't ask,
don't tell" policy, he was quickly discharged from the service.
But now — whether through a clerical oversight or what some claim is an unwritten change in policy to keep more gay servicemembers in the ranks at a time of war — Jason Knight is back on active duty. Since promoted to petty officer second class,
Knight is finishing a scheduled one-year tour in Kuwait with Naval Customs
Battalion Bravo. And, already kicked out of the Navy once, he sees no need to
hide his sexual orientation.
"I thought it was a joke at first," he said, remembering the day he received his recall orders. "It was the ultimate kick in the ass. But then I thought, there isn't much they can do to me they haven't done the first time." It was comments by Marine Gen. Peter Pace, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, that spurred Knight to come out publicly a second time. In defending the military's policy, Pace called homosexual acts immoral and contrary to military values.
"Though I respect [Pace] as a leader, it made me so mad," Knight said.
"I spent four years in the Navy, buried fallen servicemembers as part of the Ceremonial Guard, served as a Hebrew Linguist in Navy Intelligence, and received awards for exemplary service," he wrote in a letter to Stripes. "However, because I was gay, the Navy discharged me and recouped my 13k sign-on bonus. Nine months
later, the Navy recalled me to active duty. Did I accept despite everything that
happened? Of course I did, and I would do it again. Because I love the Navy and
I love my country. And despite Pace's opinion, my shipmates support
me." Those shipmates include his direct supervisors in the customs
battalion.
"He's better than the average Sailor at his job," said Bill
Driver, the leading petty officer of Knight's 15-person customs crew in Kuwait.
"It's not at all a strange situation. As open as he is now, it was under wraps
for quite a while. It wasn't an issue at work."
Another Sailor with the detail, Petty Officer 1st Class Tisha Hanson, works in admin and has had to process discharges for homosexual Sailors before.
"I've obviously never heard of something like this happening before," she said of Knight's return to active duty. "But it doesn't bother me. The Navy tends to keep people who don't want to be here, but Jason does."
In Knight's case, he was given an honorable discharge when booted from the Navy on April 4, 2005. Though it's not widely known, a clause in the military's policy on discharging gays allows commanders discretion on what form of discharge to give a gay servicemember.
In many cases, a legal expert at an advocacy group working to repeal the policy said,
that's exactly what happens.
"The vast majority of [discharge papers] give the narrative reason as ‘homosexual conduct,'" said Kathi Westcott, the deputy director for law at the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network in Washington, D.C. But, "individual commanders sometimes think the servicemember is a good troop, and they don't want them to begin their next life with a ‘black mark,'" she said.
Westcott said that Pace's comments — and a study showing declining numbers of discharges for gay servicemembers — have reignited debate about the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. The renewed debate includes suggestions that
the Pentagon is less interested in kicking out gay servicemembers during war.
Pentagon stats show that discharges of gay servicemembers dropped to 612 in
2006. The peak of such discharges was in 2001, when 1,273 were reported.
The numbers have fallen steadily each year — from 906 in 2002 to 787 in 2003, and on down. At a time when the Pentagon is struggling to meet recruiting goals, many
point to the numbers as a wartime trend. Others reject that claim. And the
majority of servicemembers are still opposed to openly serving gay
troops. Defenders of the policy say even, or especially, during war, the harm
outdoes the good.
"I believe polarization of personnel and breakdown of unit
effectiveness is too high a price to pay for well-intentioned but misguided
efforts to elevate the interests of a minority of homosexual servicemembers
above those of their units," Sen. John McCain, a presidential candidate and
former Navy officer, wrote in an April 16 letter explaining his support of the
policy. "Most importantly, the national security of the United States, not to
mention the lives of our men and women in uniform, are put at grave risk by
policies detrimental to the good order and discipline which so distinguish
America's armed services."
Still, Pentagon stats show that only .3 percent of all discharges are for homosexual conduct. In many cases, a legal expert at an advocacy group working to repeal the policy said, that's exactly what happens.
"The vast majority of [discharge papers] give the narrative reason
as ‘homosexual conduct,'" said Kathi Westcott, the deputy director for law at
the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network in Washington, D.C.
Navy personnel officials declined to comment on personnel cases in particular. But one official, speaking on background, said his reading of the policy wouldn't preclude a second discharge for Knight. Though, the source said, it was more likely the Navy would simply allow his short-term active-duty recall to expire.
Knight's current orders, issued on June 6, 2006, call for him to be on active duty for 365 days. Knight said he wants to complete that service and is even looking for ways to return to active duty full time, perhaps through the officers candidate school.
Brandy Jackson has known Knight since they served in the Ceremonial Guard in 2001. Later, both were sent to the DLI, he as a Hebrew linguist and she as a Mandarin Chinese specialist. When she washed out of the program, she was sent to the USS John C. Stennis in San Diego, but soon made her way out of the Navy.
Jackson is also gay and "never looked back. I no longer wanted to live in hiding, and
saw the opportunity to get out, so I did," she said.
She calls Knight's situation "horrible," but finds an odd justice in his recall to active
duty. "He is such an honest person with so much integrity, I could not
believe when he told me he was going back in after what they did to him," said
Jackson, a 25-year-old now studying to be a game programmer. "There are
outstanding Sailors out there that just happen to be gay, like Jason, that
contribute a great deal to the United States military and the cause we fight
for."

An American Icon to retire

Anyone that has not heard of the Price is Right or Bob Barker has been living under a rock for ages!

"After 50 years in show business and 35 years on CBS, we want to give Bob a prime-time send-off befitting of an entertainment icon," Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement.

The 83-year-old Barker told The Associated Press he picked "just the right time" to say goodbye to the cameras.

"I do not have any regrets about retiring," he said. "Isn't that strange? I expected to have second thoughts."

I remember watching this show as a kid.
Not that I watch it anymore cause I am at work when the show is on but it was a fun show. Always waiting for someone to spin that $1.00 LOL..

You wanted a Trial

Well now you liberal freaks have GOT one.

After months of investigation, legal maneuvering and jury selection, federal prosecutors and attorneys for alleged al-Qaida operative Jose Padilla finally get to present their cases in a trial expected to last into August.

Opening statements are scheduled Monday in the terrorism support trial of Padilla, a U.S. citizen, and two co-defendants.

"It is the single most important part of the trial in federal court," said Milton Hirsch, a prominent Miami defense lawyer not involved in the Padilla case. "If we expect people to understand days if not weeks of evidence, some of it obscure, we had better give them a conceptual basis in opening statements for doing so."

What a model citizen this guy was?
FORMER gang member? I would have to say he UPGRADED his gang affiliation to a global scale. Guess he was tired of the street crack money?
Padilla, 36, a former Chicago gang member and Muslim convert, has been in federal custody since his May 2002 arrest at O'Hare International Airport. He was initially accused of plotting to detonate a radioactive "dirty bomb" inside the United States and was held for three-and-a-half years at a Navy brig as an enemy combatant, but those allegations are not part of the Miami case.

"The crimes he has been charged with pale in comparison to the initial allegations," said University of Miami law professor Stephen Vladeck. "This is a far cry from being a major front in the government's war on terrorism."

Instead, Padilla and co-defendants Adham Amin Hassoun and Kifah Wael Jayyousi, both 45, are accused of being part of a North American support cell for Islamic extremists in Bosnia, Chechnya, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world. All have pleaded not guilty and face possible life in prison if convicted.

In Padilla's case, a key piece of evidence is an application to attend an al-Qaida training camp in Afghanistan that prosecutors say he completed in July 2000 and which bears his fingerprints.

Defense lawyers will seek to raise questions in jurors' minds about the authenticity of the form, whether Padilla actually completed it himself and if there might be an alternative explanation for the presence of the fingerprints.

Alternative reason? WHAT THE FUCK can that be?
That he accidentally made it to Afghanistan after he missed his flight to Puerto Rico and upon landing in Afghanistan or in this case Pakistan he made his way over to a Head Hunter agency that could help him find a job to pay for his ticket back home?

The most astonishing part is that Al-Qaueda has a pay package as well as a buyout plan. Make you REALLY wonder who exactly is supplying them with all this money? Bin Laden can't have that much money laying around.

At the very end of the form is a section labeled "Administrative Use." "Al Qaeda were great record keepers,'' said Cloonan. "When al Qaeda was conceived of there were articles of incorporation. It was a very top to bottom organization. There was an organizational chart. You had an employment contract. … You had the remnants of an insurance plan. You have a salary … as a single member of al Qaeda, you are paid $1,000 a month. As a married member, you get paid $1,500.

"And believe it or not if you choose to leave the group you had a buyout package. And that buyout package was $2,400 and airline tickets to wherever you wanted to go."

Cloonan said that "at one point, they … had something like human resources. They had a public relations arm … so when these safehouses were raided both in Pakistan and also in Afghanistan, what they came out with was a treasure trove of documents.''

Now we all need to wait and see what the Jury decides on this one.

Sad story

There are few stories that make me tear up. Being so exposed to the media all the time and its constant negative portrayal of the world we live in can do that. But this was one of those stories that made me tear up. Mostly I guess because I have kids myself and this would be horrible.

Teen accused of killing Long Island man

There are two arrests in the shooting death of a Long Island man. Investigators say the person who killed the 38-year-old is just a teenager, one of several eighth and ninth graders who allegedly attacked him while trying to rob him in his home.
Eyewitness News' Jeff Rossen has the story.

Police say the alleged gunman and his friends had been planning this for days. All of them are kids, eigth and ninth graders. Authorities say they waited for just the right minute to pounce.

According to investigators, the teenaged robbers went in through a side door and immediately saw the victim's three-year-old son inside. They allegedly put him in a bedroom to get him out of the way.

Suddenly, his father, Carlton Shaw, saw the robbers himself. Shaw actually chased them away but it wasn't over yet.

"They waited in a wooded area," Detective Lieutenant Jack Fitzpatrick of the Suffolk County Police Department told Eyewitness News, "and started to come back to the house. Mr. Shaw must have observed them. He walked toward the rear fence, and one of them fired a handgun, striking Mr. Shaw in the chest, killing him."

The accused killer: a 16-year- old boy, a student at Bellport High School. Police say Terraine Slide pulled the trigger and killed this loving father of two.

"He's a good man," the victim's girlfriend said after the killing. Griselda Amaya said Shaw was never in any trouble, and just worked all the time, holding down three jobs.

Suffolk County detectives say there were five boys involved, all students at Bellport Middle and high schools. Cops know who they are, and have already arrested a second suspect but Terrain Slide is the alleged gunman and is the only one charged with murder.

Police say they cracked the case after one of the kids got a lawyer and confessed to his role in the incident.

Investigators say the kids chose to rob Shaw's house because it was well-kept.

Here is the part that just got me:

In a horrible twist, Shaw's three-year-old son, the one put into the bedroom, eventually found his father's lifeless body outside the house. The little boy rested his head on his dad and fell asleep. That's how a neighbor found them.

Jesus.
These teens should be thrown in jail FOREVER charged with the Death Penalty. Screw a rehabilitation. Screw second chances here. Now this morning I am just Angry. As all of you should be too at this ridiculousness.

WTF is wrong with our youth these days that they just shoot someone in cold blood to rob them? There are so many other ways to get money like GETTING A DAMN JOB!

A Fairtax Tale

Hey ya'll! Anybody heard of the FairTax Plan? HR25 and SR25 is an attempt to get rid of the IRS. Imagine, no more income tax returns, no more spending hundreds of dollars or hours preparing the dreadful paperwork!

Let's imagine that the FairTax is the law. We've been operating under the FairTax since the day you drew your first paycheck. It's all you know. Here is your imaginary "reality." On every payday you get your complete paycheck. There are no deductions. If you earn $2,000 per week, you get a check for $4,000 every two weeks. You never have to save receipts or create any records pertaining to federal taxes. You can invest money without paying any taxes on it. You don't have to pay taxes on the money you earn through your investment portfolio.

You pay no taxes on any money you put in your savings account. When you die you get to leave your entire estate, everything you own, to whomever you wish. The federal government will take no taxes from your estate. Your death is not a taxable event. When you go to the store to buy an item, and the price tag says $19.99, you will had a $20 bill to the cashier and get one penny back. The price tag is the price. There are four people in your household. You, your spouse and two rug rats. At the beginning of every month you get a check or a credit to your checking or charge card account in the amount of $506.00 to compensate you for the federal sales taxes that are included in the price of everything you buy; right up to the poverty level.

read the rest of the story here

Read up a little about it on Neal Boortz's website and order his book!

Also! There will be a FairTax rally in Columbia, SC this coming Tuesday! Why is that important? Because on the same day and same time of the rally is the Republican debate there too! So the attempt is to make enough noise to attract the attention of the candidates to show that Fairtax supporters are serious with doing away with the IRS! More info on Boortz's page!

Fort Dix Plotters Illegally Entered USA

Well well well...
Seems our peace loving muslims, that wanted to kill as many U.S. soldiers as they could, entered the country illegally! They entered the country in 1984, mere babies. Lived here for 23 years and not caught, not deported, free in the country. Classic!

All I can say is, "SEE SEE SEE! I TOLD YOU THAT THIS IS WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN OUR BORDERS ARE WIDE FREAKIN OPEN!!! TERRORIST WALTZ RIGHT IN THE U.S. WILLY NILLY!!!"

I just love Neal Boortz's words on the matter. read here.

MM's has been on this story like white on rice here.

Now what will take for the people of America to really, I mean really, get on the government's ASS about this situation of securing the borders.

A 3D printer?

In a few years, it will be possible to make these items yourself. You will be able to download three-dimensional plans online, then push Print. Hours later, a solid object will be ready to remove from your printer.

I remember seeing this a few years ago. Probably on Beyond 2000 in the late 90's. REALLY cool stuff. Takes the whole crazy office parties of people photo copying their ass to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL!

Three-dimensional printers have been seen in industrial design shops for about a decade. They are used to test part designs for cars, airplanes and other products before they are sent to manufacturing. Once well over $100,000 each, such machines can now be had for $15,000. In the next two years, prices are expected to fall further, putting the printers in reach of small offices and even corner copy stores.

The next frontier will be the home. One company that wants to be the first to deliver a 3-D printer for consumers is Desktop Factory, started by IdeaLab, a technology incubator here. The company will start selling its first printer for $4,995 this year.

Now what in the WORLD will we need a Desktop 3D printer for?
Seems like fun maybe for like arts and crafts. Hell I can even see it in school but at home?

Whining is not exclusive to just American Liberals apparently

It didn't take long for the socialists and super liberals to start riots in France after the win of Sarkozy this week. It seems that a whinny liberal is the same no matter what side of the Atlantic he/she is on.

Right after his victory, angry youths burned cars and clashed with police in several cities. Police reported Monday that 730 cars were burned and at least 592 people detained overnight across the country, while some 78 officers were injured.

On Monday night, several hundred people massed for a second night at the Place de la Bastille in Paris, breaking windows in shops and starting street fires. Riot police dispersed them.

Yeah cause burning someones car and breaking a window of a business makes PERFECT sense following an election in which the opponent not only lost but was BLOWN OUT!

Experts said Sarkozy was able to steal working-class votes from the left by playing up his tough cop image and by pounding away at the theme that he believes in rewarding hard work.

"The main attraction among workers were the security-immigration duo, which works, and the values of hard work: He put the emphasis on increasing purchasing power," said Frederic Dabi, a pollster with Ifop.

MAYBE following the Riots in 2005 and 2006 by "certain sectors" in France the people had ENOUGH of this crap and wanted things to go back the way they were. Where France was France not midtown Morocco.

That is the description I got from a friend that lived in France for a year. He very much HATED being there. Hell the worst part is that HE IS FRENCH!

Sarkozy has drawn up a whirlwind agenda for his first 100 days in office and plans to put big reforms before parliament in July. One would make overtime pay tax-free to encourage people to work more. Another would put in place tougher sentencing for repeat offenders, and a third would toughen the criteria for immigrants trying to bring their families to France.

Hey sounds like great plans for even here in the US!
Now lets wait and see what results from all of this and how much longer liberals and socialists and hell even Marxists take to burn a couple hundred more cars.
So far there has been no call by the police chief of France into investigations into how harsh the tactics of the Riot police were.

I guess there is no equivalent to William Bratton in France.
The one time GREAT COP turned politician.

Terrorists what Terrorists?

If you listen to the liberal media and democrats you would think that there is no such thing as terrorists. Let alone any in America. The likes of Rosie, Reid Kennedy would have you think that its a farce.

BUT wait what is this:

Six men from New Jersey have been arrested in an alleged terror plot against soldiers at Fort Dix, according investigators.

Investigators said the men planned to use automatic rifles to enter Fort Dix and kill as many soldiers as they could at the N.J. base. Fort Dix was just one of several military and security locations allegedly scouted by this group, authorities said.

Investigators told Newschannel 4's Jonathan Dienst that these arrests are the result of a tip to the FBI and use of an informant to track the suspects. Authorities were alerted in January 2006 after the terror suspects traveled to the Pocono’s for a training exercise where they practiced firing automatic weapons, investigators said.

Since January 2006?
Hmmm Seems like those warrants and that investigative work might ACTUALLY be working! Amazing!

Authorities then inserted a cooperating witness into the alleged terror cell to be a go between in their attempt to purchase M16 and AK-47 semi-automatic rifles. Arrests were made Monday night after the informant delivered dummy weapons paid for by the alleged terror cell suspects.

Investigators said the group discussed targeting numerous locations like Dover Air base, Fort Monmouth, a Coast Guard building in Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Federal building before deciding on Fort Dix as their intended target. Fort Dix is run in part by the Army and is a reserve-training center, but active units take part in training, including some which focuses on counter-terrorism.

Sources tell Newschannel 4's Brian Thompson that the family of one of the suspects owns a pizzeria near Fort Dix and claimed to know the base "like the back of his hand." The same suspect told the alleged terror group it would be easy to penetrate to "get the most soldiers killed."

Investigators said the group of suspects have been discussing and planning for much of the last year. They allegedly pooled their savings to pay for the operation targeted at soldiers stationed here at home.

The six suspects arrested Monday night will face terror conspiracy charges. Three of the men are brothers, all believed to be Islamic radicals. Authorities have told Newschannel 4 that some of the men were born in Albania and the former Yugoslavia. Investigators said most of the suspects have spent several years here in the U.S.

I love how we all tip toe around the large elephant in the room while the elephant keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Some of the would-be attackers have been illegally in the United States, while others are illegal immigrants, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Four are ethnic Albanians, one was born in Turkey, and a sixth was born in Jordan, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Latino Racism

I am mixed from both my Spaniard looking mother and my African looking father. Something that was TABOO in DR back in the 70's and 80's. My father has told me of his experiences in his life early on in the late 70's when he came here to America. The jobs as a busboy, the racism he experienced at the nursing home he worked at, and even his times as a cab driver. But the one thing I have admired about MY FATHER is that he kept it movin.

If something held him back in some way he didn't go off on an tangent and complain and sulk he moved forward. Its the only way to CHANGE MINDS to move forward not to become recessive in your actions because then the ones that thought you could not do it were right! You fed into their desires.

Today my father is VERY SUCCESSFUL and so is my mother.
They own several businesses and real estate and they got it not by complaining about things but about moving forward. The same I can say about the richest man I know my uncle. Mofo is dark very dark and has built an empire in DR from the ground floor up based on real estate and land development. His kids are the same; pioneers in their own industry. Finance, Auto and Real estate. IN DR of all places

"Para lante siempre para tras ni parap cojer impulso " My father would say and my dark uncle as well.

I as a latino working in 2 mostly ALL WHITE industries I can honestly say that racism with the people I HAVE worked with I have not seen outright. Maybe in the shadows you may get 1 or 2. But at least not with the people I have worked with. People seem receptive on my sales meetings and hell I get kudos all the time from my buyers on my presentations which even go into the deep south. ALABAMA.

The point is that we all need to break barriers for the ONLY WAY to open paths for the next generation is by being BETTER than expected of even BETTER than the next person. Not because we are of color or JUST because we are Latino but because it levels out the playing field for ALL that come next. Shows that we ALL can do things that was not thought of.

My other point is that things are NOT what they were before in the 60's, 70's and 80's HERE IN AMERICA. I cannot speak for other Latin American countries because I DO NOT LIVE THERE. We HERE in the US are the generation that is making headway and changing the landscape of what will be our children's future and Grand children's future. We need to AT LEAST recognize that as a milestone and move forward INDIVIDUALLY for the COLLECTIVE! Passing on the message of UNITY to our kids and correcting what is BLATANTLY OUR OWN ISSUES in our most impoverished areas of this country.

It again is NOT the OUTSIDE holding us in. Its ourselves holding OURSELVES there.

My dream is that we get to a point where we no longer need or WANT an AA bill. Where I am and everyone else is hired based on my qualifications, what I can bring to the table and what I can achieve, NOT on my skin tone to fill a certain quota. That shyt to ME is the most demoralizing thing you can do to a person. Have them as a charity case.

Some of you may like that. I however DO NOT. And never will.

If we all as INDIVIDUALS focused on making things BETTER for the WHOLE and not focus on what kind of racism we might encounter or worry about the person at the counter giving us awkward looks we would achieve MORE. WHY because more of our energy would go toward SHOWING the change then letting the racism EFFECT US!

Its not about complacency but its about the level of thinking that Tego even spoke about.

***LET THEM GET STRESSED OUT NOT YOU!***

****PARA LANTE SIEMPRE MI GENTE, PARA TRAS NI PARA COJER IMPULSO!****

On the 1 Year Anniversary

Its been 1 Year since the MASSIVE rallies nation wide by ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and their sympathizers. Yeap May 1st is here. We all remember those rallies right?

The Mexican flags:

The MASSIVE amounts of people:

The flat out disrespect of the flag and the nation they want to be a part of FOR FREE:

The CLEAR CALL for Amnesty:

Hell even calls for LEGAL Drivers Licenses for all:

It even became a Democrat VS Republican thing:

Hell for good measure they threw in this BASTARD and this cute little slogan:

So what was the response from all of this?
What has been the movement both in this administration and in the media?
What have our elected officials done?

Well for one Mel Martinez came up with a bill that amounts to NOTHING MORE THAN AMNESTY. Fluff it up however you'd like, make it look pretty, decorate it in a American Flag but its still an AMNESTY PLAN. Which Mel will NEVER win another election in Florida EVER! That is like a Guarantee.

It has been well documented on this blog and others.
Michelle Malkin does a good job at that.

But for the most part SHIT has been done to stop the flow.
The real solution has not been implemented. Which is to fine the businesses that HIRE the illegals RIDICULOUS amounts of money to make it not feasible to even THINK of doing it.

Is there some bright news?
Yeah if you want to call it that.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, facing intense political pressure to toughen enforcement, removed 221,664 illegal immigrants from the country over the last year, an increase of more than 37,000 — about 20 percent — over the year before, according to the agency’s tally.

A drop in the bucket.
For every 1 you take out 5 more come in.

Its not like you can blame the border agents either.
They do their jobs and get arrested for doing so.

Federal prosecutors said Ramos and Compean shot Osvaldo Aldrete Davila on Feb. 17, 2005, after the man ran from agents trying to make a traffic stop near the border in Fabens. Agents later found about 700 pounds of marijuana inside a van Aldrete was driving.

So the blame goes to where?
None other than the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR BEING LACK LUSTER IN THEIR RESPONSE TO THIS PROBLEM.

A problem that as noted by LRO is affecting school system all along the border. From California to Texas. A problem that sees our jails SWELL with even more illegal CRIMINALS in our federal jails on murder charges, drug charges etc.

But through all of this the NY Times make an attempt and pulling on your heart strings with these sorts of stories:

The day after his wife was deported to their home country, Honduras, Lilo Mancía grieved as though she had died.

Neighbors arrived with doughnuts and juice for their two small children, while Mr. Mancía, an illegal immigrant like his wife, María Briselda Amaya, took telephone calls from relatives and tried not to break down.

“The first thing I thought of was the children,” Mr. Mancía, who is fighting his own deportation order, told the visitors gathered in his second floor walkup apartment in New Bedford a couple of weeks ago. “The future we imagined for them, it all collapsed.”

Awwwww....
They should have deported him as well! Skip the BS.

“I’m not going anywhere,” Mr. Mancía declared defiantly to a downstairs neighbor. “I’m going to stand my ground here until I win.”

I say they break down his door now.
Send a fucking message that is clear.
If you are an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT YOU SHOULD NOT BE HERE!
Its pretty simple.

But this year its all about rallying for getting DEPORTED for BREAKING THE FUCKING LAW!

Last year on May 1, hoping to influence Congress to adopt legislation making illegal immigrants legal, hundreds of thousands of immigrants held marches and work stoppages across the country. This May 1 there will be another round of rallies and marches, but this time immigrants will also be protesting a surge in deportations.

So you are not rallying NOT FOR RIGHTS only but because you BROKE the law and now don't want the LAW enforced? WTF?

Look I came here to this country long ago but my Father and Mother did things LEGALLY. The did not CIRCUMVENT the law to get to where they are and did not smuggle me in on a boat and didn't swim to get here. They waited for their immigration to be authorized and came by plane. LEGALLY. And after a few years BECAME CITIZENS.

This is a process that even though my parents needed to wait YEARS FOR, they still waited and should have waited.

Why is it so damn hard to get it thought the thick skulls of these illegals that THIS IS THE LAW. FOLLOW IT OR GET THE FUCK OUT!

Educating Illegal Immigrants at Taxpayers Expense!

Is it good for our nation to fund educating illegal immigrants?
The answer is an easy one. No!
According to the Associated Press local governments cannot keep up with the influx of illegals crossing the borders- not for work but, for school!

Thousands of Mexican children are flocking across the U.S. border to attend school, sparking a debate in towns along the border over whether U.S. taxpayers should have to bear the costs of educating them. The border crossing is so common in El Paso that officials opened a special lane just for students this month.

The Houston Chronicle reported Sunday that more than 1,200 people passed through that lane from Mexico on a recent morning. Some were college or private school students, but many were coming to attend public schools. The influx has prompted complaints from those opposed to spending U.S. tax dollars to teach students from Mexico.

The issue is especially timely in El Paso, where the school district -- which expects to take in 10,000 new students in the next five to eight years -- is preparing for a $230 million bond election for new schools next month.

Elaine Hampton, a professor at the University of Texas-El Paso, says the strained state of public education in Mexico pushes many students across the Rio Grande, just as the hope of better jobs entices their parents.

The growth of Mexican border towns like Ciudad Juarez far outpaces the government's ability to build schools, Hampton said, forcing many to turn away students. Mexican schools also can be too expensive for some parents, charging fees for books, photocopies and sometimes even the cost of administering a test.

Although many school officials are unhappy about the situation, they say there are few ways to control the number of Mexican residents attending their schools. As long as a parent or guardian has proof of residency in that school district -- such as a water bill or lease -- their child can attend. Many of the students were born in U.S. hospitals, making them U.S. citizens who live in Mexico. Others use the addresses of American friends or relatives.

Community pressure has pushed other districts to crack down on those who violate residency requirements. Susan Carlson, a spokeswoman for the United ISD in Laredo, said her district's schools are extra vigilant with residency checks and recently began fining students found breaking residency rules.

Luis Villalobos, a spokesman for the El Paso Independent School District, said the district has seven officers checking out potentially false addresses.

What does this do to our economy? And why doesn't our government do still continue to do nothing about this immigration mess! Enough is enough! As I have said before the Bush Administration needs to pressure Mexico to fix its own problems. but, I doubt that seriously!

Meanwhile Mexican magnate Carlos "Slim" Helu passed Warren Buffet as the second richest man in the world. Just ask Slim what he thinks about philantropy?:

He has derided Gates and Buffett for giving away so much of their wealth,
reportedly saying: "Poverty isn't solved with donations," according to Forbes.

Wonderful Slim, I'm impressed with your philosophy! If only LIBERAL America could adopt this mantra and maybe we would be our taxpayers would be a little bit less stressed!

Ask me if I give a damn!

The drugs used to execute prisoners in the United States sometimes fail to work as planned, causing slow and painful deaths that probably violate constitutional bans on cruel and unusual punishment, a new medical review of dozens of executions concludes.

The fact that we even CARE what kind of punishment these bastards about to die feel is frankly RETARDED!

Another step in the want for liberals to remove the death penalty.
BUT an innocent Child at 5 months in the womb is OKAY to kill. Hell to some liberals. UP TO 8 MONTHS or MORE is ok. Its still part of the womans body!

SHEESH!

Message for Reid from US MARINE.

WASHINGTON - A tough U.S. Marine stationed in one of the most hostile areas of Iraq has a message for Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid: "We need to stay here and help rebuild."

In raw and emotional language from the bloody front lines, Cpl. Tyler Rock, of the 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, skewered Reid for being far removed from the patriotism and progress in Iraq.

"Yeah, and I got a quote for that [expletive] Harry Reid. These families need us here," Rock vented in an e-mail to Pat Dollard, a Hollywood agent-turned-war reporter who posted the comment on his Web site, www.patdollard.com.

"Obviously [Reid] has never been in Iraq. Or at least the area worth seeing . . . the parts where insurgency is rampant and the buildings are blown to pieces," Rock wrote.

This all coming from Reids last week saying "THE WAR IS LOST WE NEED TO PULL OUT", from which he has back tracked QUICKLY after saying so.

Goes back to what many have said. The left in this country and DEMOCRATS in general are Invested FULLY in the loss of this war. They cannot back down from that position.

He also spoke admiringly of the risks brave Iraqi citizens take every day.

"If Iraq didn't want us here then why do we have [Iraqi police] volunteering every day to rebuild their cities?" he asked.

"It sucks that Iraqis have more patriotism for a country that has turned to complete s- - - more than the people in America who drink Starbucks every day.

"We could leave this place and say we are sorry to the terrorists. And then we could wait for 3,000 more American civilians to die before we say, 'Hey, that's not nice' again."

"And the sad thing is after we WIN this war. People like [Reid] will say he was there for us the whole time."

I have said this before.
We as Americans want things done, QUICKLY, in an INSTANT, like a POP TART. And helping a nation get back on its feet from people who's sole desire is to destroy the nation is not a simple task.

IF we leave this nation we will have some very dire consequences from it.

Gun Control laws...

Its been a little while since a post.
Been busy.

I wont however be posting anything on the Virginia Tech Massacre.
I believe it has gotten enough coverage from the News Media and from other bloggers. There really is little to add to to it.
All I can do is say May all those that were killed by this bastard Rest in Peace and my prayers go out the families and friends of this tragedy.

What it will bring and I will probably comment on as well as the other posters is on the new wave of calls for tighter gun control laws from this Massacre.

There was already within hours of the Tragedy people already covering how simple it was for him to get a gun. I will point in another direction.

I will call for MORE gun control.

Yes you read that correct. MORE GUN CONTROL.
HOWEVER, this Gun Control needs to be reasonable.
Not just the natural knee jerk reaction that is seen when things of this nature happen. Sensible gun control will be my outline.

1. Have a national registry that not only has criminal records but ALSO mental and medical records. The Real ID ACT MIGHT be the solution here. Picture every database accessible from one location. It DOES NOT necessarily for a gun purchase have to show the details of the persons health records OR criminal records but just simply say. DENIED in red so its not missed.

BLACKSBURG, Virginia (CNN) -- When a judge deemed Virginia Tech shooter Seung-Hui Cho a danger to himself due to mental illness in 2005, that ruling should have disqualified him from buying a handgun under federal law.

It didn't.

And his slaughter of 32 people last week has raised questions about the efficacy of instant background checks for firearms purchases by the mentally ill.

Under federal law, anyone who has been judged to be a danger to himself or others because of mental illness, as Cho was, should be prohibited from buying a gun. (Watch campus shooting rekindle debate on gun control Video)

His status should have been noted in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, a database of people disqualified from gun purchases.

But, in Cho's case, his mental status never went in the system.

There is supposedly already a system in place but making a database include all like in the REAL ID ACT may be a simpler method then someone entering the same information 5 times.

2. Close the loophole of being able to buy guns at Gun shows outside of the scope of background checks. This is a must. I am sorry if you are a collector of weapons or a person interested in protection for a weapon then you should have NO PROBLEM with having a waiting period to get your gun.

Yes there will be rare cases were say a single mom has a restraining order on an ex lover and he has threatened to kill her. But again these are rare cases. And laws aren't written based on rare occurrences.

3. Only US citizens should be able to purchase guns. Yeap I went there too. Yes he was a legal US resident, but US citizens should be the only ones allowed to purchase weapons. That is my opinion.

4. There should be a 3 day wait period before you walk out with a gun. Just like they have here in Florida. Nothing wrong with that from what I can tell.

5. Institute similar "right to retreat laws" like we have here in Florida. It makes perfect sense.

Case in point:

Catarino Piedra, 41, kept a gun underneath the counter at the Coliseum Pizza and Taqueria that he owned in East Oakland because his drivers had been robbed many times while making deliveries.

Allen Joseph Hicks III, 22, was an accused batterer on probation for a drug conviction and an aspiring rap artist whom everybody in his neighborhood knew as "Boonie."

The lives of the two men intersected tragically at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday when Hicks, armed with a pistol and joined by two other men, tried to rob Piedra inside the popular pizzeria at 89th Avenue and International Boulevard. Fearful that the assailants might hurt him, his wife and three children -- all of whom were inside the restaurant -- Piedra pulled out his 9mm semiautomatic pistol and opened fire, killing Hicks, police said.

This man was protecting himself and his family.
The Cops however saw this differently.

Piedra said he was afraid that the assailants would shoot him or hurt his family, a contention supported by Oakland police who nevertheless cautioned against citizens taking direct action against criminals.

"There is definitely a balance," said Officer Roland Holmgren, department spokesman. "This thing had potential -- who knows where the suspects were going to take the situation? But by no stretch of the imagination are we agreeing with or justifying what the owner did."

Holmgren said, "We're not saying that we want citizens to go out there and arm themselves and take the law into their own hands. We want citizens to be good witnesses, to be good report-takers and to identify suspects."

How good of a witness would this man have been if the robber would have pulled the trigger first? Not much help at that point huh? And then if he would have turned to shoot the family as well.

I will concede that putting MORE restrictions on guns fails to get the guns OUT of the hands of criminals or WOULD BE criminals. LA, NY, DC, Philly and others are all examples of that. HOWEVER, is it too much to ask for these simple regulations added into existing laws.

Something SENSIBLE needs to be done here. Something that DOES NOT violate our Constitution but makes us at least a LITTLE safer. Banning ALL GUNS is not the solution. Just ask Australia. But a LITTLE bit of control can go a long way.

Where was the media Coverage on this?

White people need to be exterminated:

That according to Kamau Kambon on C-SPAN of all places?
Where was the news coverage on this?

Watch the video!

Where was Sharpton And Jesse here?
Listen to the clapping in the back ground?
The sad thing is he was a college professor! WOW!

Hell lets go to the NEW BLACK PANTHER LEADERSHIP and see what he has to say:

Wow... Looks like the Black Panthers haven't changed much?
Just given themselves the name "NEW" as though there is anything different now?

Virginia Tech

My deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the students murdered and injured in yesterdays attacks. No words can ever heal the hearts or sorrow they must feel for their lost ones.

My thoughts on this tragic event is; what if one person that had a concealed weapons permit was there? He could of possibly twarted this madman before he was able to murder and injure dozens of students.
How come nobody fought back? In this post 9-11 era, I would think the "Lets Roll" mantra would have took action!
One hero actually gave up his own life. Please read about Holocaust survivor Professor Liviu Librescu. RIP

Anti-gun fear mongering lobbyists are again trying to use this to make it harder for citizens to purchase guns for the protection. Read this.

University had eerily similar shooting on its campus in 1991. Except the shooter was from the Peoples Republic of China.

Now, copy-cats are looking to capitalize on some universities' ban on self-defense by posting threats on 3 separate universities and schools.

All else I have to say is, people need to learn how to FIGHT BACK!!!

Mojito anyone?

If this doesn't outrage you over our government school system, then I don't know what in the hell would!

HS SPURS FUROR WITH CUBA TRIP
Manhattan public high-school students and a history teacher with
a soft spot for Cuba flouted federal travel restrictions by taking a
spring-break field trip to the communist nation - and now face up to $65,000
apiece in fines, The Post has learned.
The lesson in socializing and
socialism was given to about a dozen students from the selective Beacon School
on the Upper West Side, which for years has organized extravagant overseas trips
with complementary semester-long classes.
Some past destinations include
France, Spain, South Africa, Venezuela, Mexico and, according to the school Web
site, Cuba in 2004 and 2005.
The principal, Ruth Lacey, insisted she did not
approve the April 1-10 jaunt, in which students and teachers said the group was
briefly detained on their return by American customs officials in The Bahamas
and now faces fines.

Is Imus really the problem?

I have been trying to avoid giving any coverage on this.
Its been talked about like crazy all through the blogoshpere and talked about on TV and radio even today!

But I think I just need to voice my position on this.
I'll go with Whoopie on this one.
Should he be fired? Naaa. He did nothing illegal.
What he did do was stupid and morally reprehensible but not illegal. Lets face it. He is a shock jock. Its what his job is. To say stupid shit!

Is a complete moron. Sure.
What he said was I guess supposed to be a joke I guess.
But that doesn't excuse his stupid comment.

But the reality is that this is a problem within the Minority community that needs to be corrected. Something that we do to ourselves on a daily basis. The one thing that may actually be a good thing from this is that people get it and change things within the HOOD. Its a crazy wish but maybe it is something that can happen.

His firing was/is dangerous. Its a step in the direction of censorship and a step in the direction of Facism that liberals constantly scream about. It brings in the thought police into this situation and into many other arenas that are dangerous in this nation.

Here is a man that analyzes this situation PERFECTLY!

But to make it fair. Here is Al (pimp my race card) Sharpton with Jason Whitlock

Notice how Sharpton gets MOST of the air time while Jasons segment is not only cut off but trivialized by Soledad O'Brien.

Jason highlights the true point of this whole argument.
IMUS IS NOT THE PROBLEM:

Instead of wasting time on irrelevant shock jock, black leaders need to be fighting a growing gangster culture.

Thank you, Don Imus. You’ve given us (black people) an excuse to avoid our real problem.

You’ve given Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson another opportunity to pretend that the old fight, which is now the safe and lucrative fight, is still the most important fight in our push for true economic and social equality.

You’ve given Vivian Stringer and Rutgers the chance to hold a nationally televised recruiting celebration expertly disguised as a news conference to respond to your poor attempt at humor.

Thank you, Don Imus. You extended Black History Month to April, and we can once again wallow in victimhood, protest like it’s 1965 and delude ourselves into believing that fixing your hatred is more necessary than eradicating our self-hatred.

The bigots win again.

While we’re fixated on a bad joke cracked by an irrelevant, bad shock jock, I’m sure at least one of the marvelous young women on the Rutgers basketball team is somewhere snapping her fingers to the beat of 50 Cent’s or Snoop Dogg’s or Young Jeezy’s latest ode glorifying nappy-headed pimps and hos.

I ain’t saying Jesse, Al and Vivian are gold-diggas, but they don’t have the heart to mount a legitimate campaign against the real black-folk killas.

It is us. At this time, we are our own worst enemies. We have allowed our youths to buy into a culture (hip hop) that has been perverted, corrupted and overtaken by prison culture. The music, attitude and behavior expressed in this culture is anti-black, anti-education, demeaning, self-destructive, pro-drug dealing and violent.

Rather than confront this heinous enemy from within, we sit back and wait for someone like Imus to have a slip of the tongue and make the mistake of repeating the things we say about ourselves.

To take it one step further lets look at Jonetta Rose Barras take on this situation as well:

We're Our Own Worst Imuses

They wanted to slay Don Imus and they did. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, the NAACP, the National Association of Black Journalists and their posse knocked the shock jock off his throne at CBS Radio and MSNBC. But behind the scenes in the black community where I live and work, the outcry all along has been for something else.

Rather than blast the talk-show host for his derogatory description of the Rutgers University women's basketball team, many African Americans I spoke to in my work as a radio commentator said all along that black folks, including and perhaps chiefly those who led the charge against Imus, should take a long look in the mirror.

I think they're right.

The sensational indignation that got Imus fired last week struck many of us as hypocritical. It cast African Americans principally as the victims of discrimination -- and ignored the fact that they are the chief purveyors of the demeaning language being decried. It ignored the realities of how culture gets transmitted in contemporary society and the prominent role that African Americans play in that transfer. It failed to recognize the market forces at play. And it held blacks unaccountable for any of the damage, saddling whites with all the blame.

Urban American pop culture is fast becoming a black -- and sometimes Hispanic -- thing, and a bunch of people are getting filthy rich from it. The dirty little secret here is that the fight over Imus may not have been so much about his terminal foot-in-mouth disease as about who has dominion over that culture and who collects the cash.

Consider that last year's Academy Award for Best Original Song went to "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" from the movie "Hustle and Flow." That Howard University gave rapper P. Diddy the same postgraduate achievement award that it once bestowed upon famed African American author Zora Neale Hurston. Or that in 2001 the NAACP gave its prestigious Image Award to R. Kelly, a black singer accused of having sex with underage girls. (YOU CAN'T BLAME THE WHITE MAN FOR THESE THINGS!!)

Lets skip the BS and look for the root cause of this problem.
The root cause is NOT from white America. The root cause is within our own communities or rather HOODS! Is it too much to ask for our hoods to be looked at as NEIGHBORHOODS! Is that too far of a stretch.

Its thinks like this that make me look at Cosby's Speech:

Ladies and gentlemen, the lower economic and lower middle economic people are [not*] holding their end in this deal. In the neighborhood that most of us grew up in, parenting is not going on. In the old days, you couldn’t hooky school because every drawn shade was an eye. And before your mother got off the bus and to the house, she knew exactly where you had gone, who had gone into the house, and where you got on whatever you had one and where you got it from. Parents don’t know that today.

I’m talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit. Where were you when he was two? Where were you when he was twelve? Where were you when he was eighteen, and how come you don’t know he had a pistol? And where is his father, and why don’t you know where he is? And why doesn’t the father show up to talk to this boy?

The church is only open on Sunday. And you can’t keep asking Jesus to ask doing things for you. You can’t keep asking that God will find a way. God is tired of you. God was there when they won all those cases. 50 in a row. That’s where God was because these people were doing something. And God said, “I’m going to find a way.” I wasn’t there when God said it… I’m making this up. But it sounds like what God would do.

We cannot blame white people. White people .. white people don’t live over there. They close up the shop early. The Korean ones still don’t know us as well…they stay open 24 hours.

I’m looking and I see a man named Kenneth Clark. He and his wife Mamie…Kenneth’s still alive. I have to apologize to him for these people because Kenneth said it straight. He said you have to strengthen yourselves…and we’ve got to have that black doll. And everybody said it. Julian Bond said it. Dick Gregory said it. All these lawyers said it. And you wouldn’t know that anybody had done a damned thing.

50 percent drop out rate, I’m telling you, and people in jail, and women having children by five, six different men. Under what excuse

I had this argument before with someone on a google forum back when Cosby said this. And her argument wasn't WHAT he said but how he said it. WHO GIVES A FUCK how it was said. The reality is what he said NEEDED to be said. Sadly though other than Cosby's own personal mission little is being done about these problems in our communities. HOPEFULLY this IMUS thing is the swift kick in the ass that is needed for people to drop the BS and start to fix the problems. And the solution is within. Because the white man doesn't give a damn!

Another Failed Government Policy at Taxpayer Expense!!!

If there is onething I hate; it is the income tax!
If there is one more thing I REALLY hate; it is government waste of taxpayer money!!!!!

Here is another example of how government wastes OUR hard earned money to fund assinine pet projects!

Study: Abstinence classes don't stop sex

Students who took part in sexual abstinence programs were just as likely to have sex as those who did not, according to a study ordered by Congress.

Also, those who attended one of the four abstinence classes that were reviewed reported having similar numbers of sexual partners as those who did not attend the classes. And they first had sex at about the same age as other students — 14.9 years, according to Mathematica Policy Research Inc.

The federal government now spends about $176 million annually on abstinence-until-marriage education. Critics have repeatedly said they don't believe the programs are working, and the study will give
them reinforcement

However, Bush administration officials cautioned against drawing sweeping conclusions from the study. They said the four programs reviewed — among several hundred across the nation — were some of the very first established after Congress overhauled the nation's welfare laws in 1996.

Officials said one lesson they learned from the study is that the abstinence message should be reinforced in subsequent years to truly affect behavior.

"This report confirms that these interventions are not like vaccines. You can't expect one dose in middle school, or a small dose, to be protective all throughout the youth's high school career," said Harry Wilson, the commissioner of the Family and Youth Services Bureau at the Administration for Children and Families.

HUH???
You want to spend more of MY money to fund something that dosen't work!?!
WTF is that?!?
I am all for teaching kids about what a mess having sex at an early age
can be but, to only teach them abstinence is retarded.
We don't need MORE GOVERNMENT IN OUR LIVES!!
Kids are going to have SEX!!!
We were created by God to HAVE SEX!!!
If God only wanted us to have sex when we married then he would gave us detachable genitals to be purchased with proof of marriage certificate!!!
uh oh... I can hear the religious wackos not liking that comment! lol

Driverless Car?

A car driven by a hi-tech ghost of laser sensors and computers went on exhibit in London Wednesday, before it competes against other robot cars in the United States in November.

The Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI drives using two eye-like laser sensors in the front and one in the back that scan road conditions, buildings, other vehicles and pedestrians over a range of up to 200 metres (650 feet).

An on-board computer digests and acts on the information using software developed by the Hamburg, Germany-based Ibeo Automobile Sensor company, said company experts displaying the car at the Science Museum in London.

In November, the car will compete against other driverless vehicles in the third annual US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Urban Challenge over a 60-mile course in America.

"We are competing against the world's best in terms of automobile technology," Ibeo chief executive Ulrich Lages said.

"Although we are a relatively small team and, unlike the big players, do not have a large budget, we believe we have a great chance at DARPA 2007," he said.

"Our innovative laser technology gives us a lead of several years over our prospective rivals, especially in the field of object and environmental detection," he said.

Christened LUX, the refitted Volkswagen that looks exactly like a standard road model is due to go into small-scale production next year and the firm hopes that its technology can eventually be used in production cars.

At a conference in the US city of San Francisco in February, scientists predicted robot-driven cars could be shuttling humans around by the year 2030.

I see the positives and the negatives with something like this.
The elderly could then get from point A to Point B without causing accidents and without too much trouble. The technology is still at its infancy.

I however don't think if this becomes an option on vehicles I will take it. I like the feel of the road, the feel of the wheel and the freedom of driving. Unless I live long enough to be really elderly then I will call my Car "Charles" and have him drive me around wherever the hell I want.

Maybe there is hope....

Sounds like a voice of reason.
I wonder if these clerics will listen.
I doubt it.
